As you may have seen, a major error hit the database for this forum. This error was the result of some bad sectors that corrupted the back up - kind of. It's hard to explain exactly, so the end result is.. we didn't lose any posts but we did lose about 200 new user accounts. What we did to fix that was to create dummy accounts to link to the posts...

If you created an account after March 3rd and can't log in any more... I am sorry. Please just create a new account (you can even use your old username) and then you can post away.

We are taking steps to make sure that all back ups are now retained off site so we don't have this issue.

As boyd mentioned in the current news item on the home page, it's not 100% done yet. I'd say we're at about 95%, just working on a few things with the journals and show dates.

You're probably wondering "what about the Laughing City?" Yes, it will be re-skinned to match the new site design; unfortunately it had to take a lower priority than the rest of the site. Keep an eye out in the coming week or two.

Please bear with us if there are small glitches and whatnot. We already know of a few, listed below. If you come across any others, please post them in this thread and we will get them taken care of as quickly as possible.

last night and was taken to ICU at a hospital... I assume, in Indiana.

This afternoon, further information reveals that it's terribly serious.
Apparently the seisure was so severe that it stopped his heart; he
didn't breath for something like 4 minutes. I don't really know details,
but the word was - they had a hard time reviving him and didn't even
get him off life machines until 4am. At this point, nobody knows if he's
going to pull through or if he's ever going to be ok. I hope and pray
that the news is better than this but I just don't have any connections.
I only know gRegor. gRegor hooked us up w/ Mark. They've been
friends forever.

This is terribly upsetting; gRegor is an amazing guy, a great friend...
he used to go to our church here in T-town, which is where I met him
years ago; he's been the developmental life of this forum, helped me
with the eisley sites... he's been a long time fan of the band dating
back to early 2002 or before; he's always been there for us... even
promoted that amazing show in Indy.

I'm sorta in shock; he's always been like... perfectly healthy. Some
of you Chicago fans or Indianapolis fans might have met him. He's
tall, lanky, thin... uhhgh; I don't understand what could have happened.
Mark said they weren't sure if it might have been some kind of virus
that attacked his heart. I'm sure somebody knows more that we do.
If so, please update us; also, for any of you who believe in prayer, it
would be aweome to do so now - on gRegor's behalf. Thank You. If I
hear anything, I'll keep you posted. boyd

Palmer works for Joe Kirk who owned Paste Magazine until last year when he sold it. Anyway, I received this email this morning. They listed their gear WITH serial numbers - for you guitar geeks who might frequent Dallas shops of any kind who sell used instruments. But, of course, if these thieves were smart, they'd pedal the goods of this distraught young band to other markets. They're from Mississippi. dang. I do hate thieves. I want to pummel them and cut off their fingers... or hands; at least 1 arm. grrrrr...

Tonight just had our entire van, trailer and gear stolen after a show here in Dallas. The van had MISSISSIPPI plate L89OWB. It is a white 1994 Chevrolet G20 VAN.

Literally we had just packed up after our show, went back into the venue, 15 minutes later, the van and everything in it had disappeared.

Please pass this on to anyone that you know of who lives in the Dallas Fort Worth area!!!

You can call us if you live in the area, it'd be great if you could help us go to pawn shops, etc. and look for this gear. Our cell phones are about all we have left.
