Tucson, Arizona. CLUB CONGRESS

Sun Apr 30, 2006 4:00 pm

In the Merry Merry Tucson Town
We warm our hearts and boil our feet upon their earth

Club from the back.

Eisley poster fits with the hotel scene. Fanciful logo is very historic and awesome.

Support for Brighten. Very goofy, loud, attention grabbing support...

Like this...

eisley/brighten = brightley

Interview during Simon Dawes set.

I got bored and shot up things.

Attention to design/detail. Never forget - the magic is not in the 80/20 principle. It's in the 120% principle.

Time machine. "All men are like grass... and their glory is like the wildflower." Leave a legacy.

Experimenting w/ shutter speeds outside during interview. This hotel is really cool.

Club Congress Tucson Crowd of whoppong 175. Eisley brings only the cream of the Arizona crop.

No flash. Red lights obscure, blow out, wash out detail.

Here, I used tissue over the flash to add light to stage. Not much better.

Puff Cloud Serenity. Leaving Tucson (the next morning) to head out for 2 day drive to Tulsa.

Used in WW2 for testing nuclear weapons in the Arizona desert

500th wonder of the world

Interesting store.

I should be an old hotel photographer.

Skies. Amber waves of dry desolation.

The sun sets on Arizona. Will we return? The question lies in future tour creative meetings.

---------------------JOURNAL FROM THE DAY---------------------------

CLUB CONGRESS... NOT City Limits. Hope you guys figure it out. (the all one of you) Early on, they were at City Limits, but somewhere along the way, the promoters for that show went out of business. The lucky promoters who picked up the show (Tounge E. Chow) moved it to this quaint, cute, really old, awesome hotel venue. i'm not kidding.... it's amazing. Can't wait to get coffee. I wish we'd have stayed here. wow.

When all 40 of you arrive, we should all chase cactus or something. I want to photograph some before we leave in the morn. Speaking of, we only have a 1,100 mile jottle over to Tulsa. (BTW- the small room - Bob's, sold out so they moved it up to Cain's - the big room) There are now plenty, plenty tickets for of to sell. Presales were at 350 a few days ago.

Ariz Zona and Eisley

Well... i have thought long and hard about this but neither me nor the band has come up with anything conclusive. I suppose the fate of Eisley and Arizona lies in the balance beween Agent and Promoter. If they deem Eisley to return, so shall it be. I'm falling asleep... but the show was insanely good tonight, despite technical problems. I loved the set and the place and the fans and the promoter, etc. better go now. We get up early and drive a billion hrs straight. nite. bd

coffee, the fuel of tour.
I wish I was there... I would run a million and a half miles to see Eisley without it be crowded like it was in Sacramento.

Chasing cactuses... pure awesomness.

one of the first ones to get there, and probably the last one to leave. haha, i was crouching against the wall and some electric box thing when i watched you guys drive away. it was pretty awesome, i have to admit. i did really enjoy the small room, it made everything seem more casual and comfortable. Smile i talked with garron for a while and that was cool. i can't wait until you guys come back Exclamation

Darn good show tonight. Wish I could of stayed late but we had to drive back to Tempe. I'm glad I got to see two shows in two nights. Boy was it ever so hot in the room. We were confused about where it was, luckly we got into Tucson at like 4pm and went to a local record store where they informed us it was at congress club. There was a concert right across the street with scary people wearing make up that made me feel uncomfortable while waiting in line. Even tho it was a short set, it was sweet.

I can't speak for Tucsonians, but whenever my sister and I are in town, we blast "Room Noises" in the car for all to hear. It's good times, for sure!

a real fan in az
The show in tempe was absolutley amazing.

I cant even begin to explain how excited and then satisfied by the show i was. I had been waiting SO LONG to see eisley it was like a dream come true.

So even if the sales were not the best here in az. Make sure eisley knows theres alot of true fans out here (as you could tell by the show)

please dont give up on az... and come back soon!

(ps. my brother used to do handy work around the hotel congress and that place is seriously really cool. And its haunted by a dead mafia guy)
