The Biggest Shocker of the Tour
I posted yesterday (see below) but felt I needed a fresh start on this show. I don't have much time because I'm at the club in Houston and have many things to do.
I just wanted to say thanks to you Oklahoman's and to tell you something. I never make up special things to say unless i really feel it. Sometimes I feel it but don't know how to say it. Sometimes i say it but it comes off like hype...
Yesterday for the first time in US Eisley history, I remembered that the band's very first ever show... even before the first BrewTones show... by a few months or so... was, indeed, in Oklahoma. They did a very small gig in Oklahoma City called the Outer Cafe. We went to visit the llittle joint because it was a model for the kind of club we wanted to build in Tyler. Coffee and Rock shows... The band played a short set - all original material. I almost forgot. So there you have it. Something kindof special.
And we're all freaking out at the turnout last night. The 300 cap. venue sold out so they moved it up to Cain's Ballroom and capped it at 600. At 575 tickets, we were literally astounded. Two days before the show, sales were at 350+ but there were a bunch of walk ups... crazy. Gotta go!
talk soon!

First. VERY IMPORTANTI posted ALL new pics for ALL the West Coast shows. Sorry for delay. Actually... still uploading San Fran's. Carry on my wayward sons (and daughters)
[size13]Eisley seems to have connected with Tulsans but we'll find out for sure tonight[/size]
Is it just because you guys are 6 hrs straight above us? Or - is it because some of you who might have dug Eisley's chili had to drive from OK to Dallas to see them and you've spread the love? Or - is it because a few days ago, Taylor Hanson announced on his blog that their fans should come see their friends in Eisley? (but presales were already 350 by then so... i dunno) All i know is - it's an unexpected wonderment of Southern home cooked goodness. And we get to play where Patsy Cline played. "Crazy" is one of the best songs ever, right?
So... I have to go update some more and take care of business. Sadly, John A. left on a plane to deal w/ a relative in a serious car wreck yesterday eve. I'm not sure he'll be joining us again on this tour... which means we're short a crew member, a monitor guy, a driver and a good friend. bummer.
KIM JUST CALLED AND HER AND CHAD AND FAM' ARE ON THE WAY!!! WOOT GALOOT KIP HIP HURRAY. LA DA DA BOOM-DEE-AYE!
