Promoter says that's a downer for Eisley's turnout

But presales were really, really good at before doors (567), so I don't really believe it. This is the first tour they've graduated from a 480 cap. venue that sold out the last two visits - so i think if there were no walk ups, it would still be great, right?
And we found out that our friends in Mute Math are sabotaging Eisley. Both bands apparently have many of the same fans. Last night in Houston, they were playing and tonight they're at the small room at Stubbs. Fans from both bands have been trying to decide who they want to go see the most. I'm gonna call Greg and tell him, "hey, don't mess with Texas"... followed by, "this is EISLEY country".
Anyway, we've already had our share of problems. Chauntelle's amp totally crapped out on her. No workie. Back up 66 Bassman "Blackface" - 1966 model's fuse was out. I finally tracked down one at Guitar center (dude had to pull it off a vintage amp - and gave it to me; you should support Guitar Center's - they're the best - nationwide. Anyway, we ended up using Blake's Fender Twin or something, but now we will have an amp for Memphis.
We lost our Banner.
I was terribly bummed.
I called and tracked it down in Phoenix.
I had the promoter FedX it to Dallas.
We will have it for the last show!!

Hey everybody. Austin is over. I thought the show was beautiful. I have to stop talking about venue size and counts... it's lame and who cares. Nobody wants to know who many came to shows and I'm the only one who actually know, so I'll start talking about something else.

you Austin people looked wonderful. I don't know where you're all coming from and why you came and how you know about Eisley. The band couldn't see out there so they assumed it wasn't a very big crowd. But well... they were very wrong.

Austin, I don't know when we'll be back, but I have say thanks once more. People tell us that you're a jaded music crowd because you get so many shows... and that it's hard to impress you. I don't know about all of that, but there were more of you at the La Zona Rosa for Eisley's little headlining show then there were for Snow Patrol when they were slated as openers... That's sorta amazing, seeing how Snow Patrol had a big radio song spinning wildly and charting during that tour. Eisley has.... nothing. Radio has never really been very important to the band. They never listen to it or talk about it or care, really. I guess you guys don't either.
And speaking of that show w/ S.P. (who are a great band - Gary and Nate are super nice guys) - I remember the writer for the Austin Chronicle (a female girl) sorta hated Eisley and basically wrote crap about them but wildly praised Snow Patrol. At the same time the Texas Cowboy (Craig - a male guy) reported the wonders of Eisley... and how it was hard to tell who the the opener was and who the headliner was judging from the crowd response. That was nice.
I think we'll come back to the La Zona Rosa, ok? The room is good, the PA is good, the people are good, the parking/load in is good, etc. The room is way more expensive than Emo's, where they slated us (I rebelled), but it seems important to me for the band to sound good and for people to be able to see the band... (those wicked support beams); plus, the bathrooms are so nasty at Emo's. The last time we were there, i nearly vomic'd when i went in the guys room. Cool venue, for sure but little pride in what they're doing from what I can tell. I might be wrong.
