It's 4am; we've left Austin and are in route and we can't find a hotel. We're traveling down 35 and have checked everyhotel so it's starting to wear us down. And romor it an overthsss (sorry. fell asleep)

Mark is driving, bbut we're both sleeppy. Kim is in back w more of them.
Goin all teh way to dallas to look for rooms. ugh... b d

That was written during torential thunderstorms as well. We find a hotel finally - in Dallas. It's 6:20am and we're going to sleep finally. That was a scary, dangerous drive that set's up a worse situation - an overnight drive tomorrow night too after we're not rested. uhgg. dreadful to even imagine. touring is fun. nite. i mean, good mornin'. bd

Oh... and I saw Tornado's... yes. I did. When the lightening would blast, lighting the entire sky, I saw a giant funnel cloud over to my front right side. Kim called me and said, "what are we doing driving into this storm?".
I said, "trying to find a hotel...".

The Granada Rules. Show Highlights

What a party, ehh? If you didn't bring home one of the yellow hand drawn by-the-band beach balls, you probably know someone who did. If you didn't get a sense of Eisley's affection for you guys in Dallas, you're probably not breathing. If you didn't feel the love between the bands on their last show together, you might have been one of those scared off by the threat of rain... walk ups contributed for only about 75 of the 810 in the house. It was a really fun night for all of us and I hope for you too.

Hopefully none of you felt ripped off when Blake commandered "I Wasn't Prepared" with his own lead rippage... I was worried, considering that's one of the most favored songs in Eisley's set.

Once again, it wasn't one of Eisley's stongest sets of the tour... there was more joviality than there was perfection... but I think that's what made it so real... so genuine. Craftmanship and emotion were certainly entertwined; I felt the set picked up speed right about the "Golly Sandra" mark. When sherri say's, "this is for you Texans", she means it. I always enjoy the "woo -hoo" from Stacy that kicks it off - though it's rare, except for in Southern States (where they enjoy using the word, "ya'll" unabashedly in sentences).

I saw and talked to fans who've been coming to shows since Coldplay. It amazes me that "ya'll" are still coming. Every show I think.. wow. one day, they'll surely just say - "men, i'm over Eisley..." but you guys are so rock solid - which is what Sherri was trying to say in her touching little speech about how you guys discovered them, gave them an audience... came to shows... basically gave birth to their band, etc. Anyway, thanks for coming... new and old fans.

I'm falling asleep. Does that surprise you? C Yah. Pics and catching up on media soon. boyd

The Meridian and then La Vona Rosa, what an amazing back-to-back spectacularity. It truly was. Even though we were exhausted in Austin last night and contemplating leaving early... we were very glad and determined to stay and see Eisley... I got a picture with Chauntelle! (thank you... it's kind of weird because you guys are just musicians and not really about the "famous rockstar" thing -and hopefully never will be - so I didn't really want to be all up in your face for pictures and stuff, but it was SUPERCOOL, wow). lol.

Wow, driving last night (5/5) through the thunderstorms and crashbam wam lightning does not sound like a fun venture. We were supposed to head back last night to Beaumont... it was midnight and we were both just not feeling really up to a 4-hr drive. So we crashed overnight at our friend's house... futon never seemed so welcoming. Bad bad storm last night... glad you all made it safe.

Thanks for an awesome show... and for just being so down-to-earth and non "special"... it's about the music and yall have made it real.

PS Thanks again for signing my bag, Boyd!

You and everyone else will finally be able to get some rest Boyd, well-deserved after all the hard work you all have put into making the Final Noise tour a success. And it was, no doubt, a successful tour and I'm glad I was able to experience a small part of it with you all. Can't wait tell you come back to San Diego! (Until then, I'll spend every waking moment trying to find a way to get Radiohead tickets!!!)

Goodnight and Congrats

awesome
The Dallas show was amazing. Laughing It was the best time that I have had in a while. I loved LuvBeat and have been listening to their CD and dancing a lot! I was sad that I didn't get a headband though. Sad I thought all of the opening bands were really talented and hope to see them again somewhere. Eisley was, of course, amazing. I think that there are very few bands that are as talented and have as much passion about their music as Eisley does. The girls really did show their love last night. I only wish that I could have been up there or on the tour because they looked like they were always having fun. The whole show made me feel so comfortable and at home. It was great, and I can't wait for the new CD! Much love! God bless!
