I HAVE MORE FOR IN THE MORNING, BUT I CAN'T HOLD MY
TURTLE NECK UP AND AM FALLING ASLEEP. 3:15AM
-----------------

Liberty Hall

It's only 1:40am, but for those of us driving in in the morning, it's very
late. We just got back to the hotel after a bunch of hanging out, talking to
fans, listening to the other bands.

All I can say is - Eisley thanks Kansas for giving them such a warm,
friendly, enthusiastic response. I think that was one of the best shows in
terms of the venue, the crowd, the mix and the performance. Well,
maybe in the top 5 shows at least. It's so hard for me to undersand -
one town gets it and another one doesn't; What's happening? Kansas city
is a place to come back to for sure.

Tonight was the first time they added, "They all surrounded me" to their
set list - and they've been cheating time by starting 5 minutes early.
Other wild card song has been, "Sun Feet".

Tomorrow we leave for Chicago - the band does a live taping both nights
I believe...like for a dvd or something. Should be fun.

I can't think to write. I'm going to bed and hopefully I will get you up in
the morning. More details to come. BTW. - I posted images on San
Francisco. Or, I uploaded them....haven't checked the code or to see if
they even appear...(no time, leaving hotel now in Lawrence for 10 hour
drive) bd

yes that was a great show. I was a bit late because I had to be at a thing for my school marching band and Lawrence is 30min away from where the town I live. My friends told me I only missed one Eisley song. My friend told me once i got to the show that this was Eisley and they love Radiohead, she told me to because she knows radiohead is one of my all time favorite bands. We got up as close as we can and loved the whole set. After they were finished I remembered reading something about Eisley, that they had toured with Coldplay and were from Texas. Lawrence is a great place to play when a great band is playing. By coming back to Kansas City do you mean coming back to Lawrence. Kansas City is 30 more minutes away for me and everyone loves Eisley in Lawrence. Thanks for a night of wonderful music.

I wanted to go to this show really badly, but I couldn't afford the gas to get there. It would've been 6 hours of driving which is normally what I have to do to see good shows.

I've been trying to see Eisley for almost 2 years now... so hopefully sometime I'll succeed.

I'm glad the show went well though. Libery Hall is a cool place. I just saw the Polyphonic Spree there, and my band played there a couple months ago.

wow. i feel sorry for that guy that didn't make it. honestly i went to the show because brand new is the most amazing band i've ever seen live. BUT(thats a hUge 'but' too) eisley put on an absolutely spectacular show. i've never heard of eisley til' this show was announced. i didn't bother to check them out before hand. i went into this show an eisly virgin. though i loved their performance. honestly. i was right up front. watched every move, listened to every lyric. i was(and still am) at a loss for words with this band. i obviously bought both epS and i hope that you come back to kansas soon. lawrence or the Kcity. i'll be there for ya. thanks a bunch for a shockingly beautiful introduction to a great show.

Great show!
Hey, just wanted to let you know how much I really enjoyed the show. I was really impressed. My name's Colby. I talked to Chauntelle for about 15 minutes, haha, I'm sure I annoyed her to no end, I just really love music and you guys were a breath of fresh air for me I guess is what happened. I don't think I can compliment you enough. Anyways, I also talked to her about playing some shows with you guys. Our music is a completely different style but I know our fans would enjoy you guys alot too, and if they didn't....then I would have to kick them or something...but that wouldn't happen becuase you guys are amazing. Anyways, we're called Civella and we're touring May 25th through July 1st I believe. Also, anytime we could play a show down there with you, we'd be more than happy to make the drive. Playing out is what we're all about. Our site is www.civellamusic.com, I've plugged it many times on here I'm sure, and again I'm Colby, all my info is on the site under contacts, it'd be nice to hear from you guys and hopefuly get some shows together, also if you ever want to play in the KC area, just let me know and I can get some shows for you. Keep up the great work. Hope to you again. Love.

I really, really, really wanted to go see this show, since it's the closest to me that Eisley is coming in the foreseeable future, but many factors got in the way. For one, it was my friend's birthday, but it turns out he's out of town this weekend anyway. *sigh* Oh well.

So glad it went well! At least I know I missed a good one. Wink

for the best
I wasn't sure what to expect from ya'll live, I'd heard your music and thought it was great, but wow...live...I'm just incredibly impressed at how amazing your talent is. The vocals were so pure and absolutely flawless, the lyrics were incredible, and the music just compliments it all so well. Everyone was saying great things, and I think most people were just absolutely blown away by how great everything sounded...can't wait to see you guys again! xxoo*annie

btw...I picked up the Marvelous Things cd...and I was just wondering where I could find the lyrics for it...I've looked, maybe not hard enough, but thanks... Laughing

Lawrence show was incredible!
I'd been looking forward to seeing Eisley for a very long time, and I was extremely excited to find they were scheduled to play in Lawrence! (That's about as close as any great band gets to Ames, Iowa.) Waiting in line was a bit disconcerting, but I was on the side of the building just where I could here them sound check. The second I heard them, I knew I was in for a great show! There was only one thing wrong with the show, Eisley only had a 30 minute time slot. Eisley definitely should have had more time than that!

Both of Eisley’s EPs are awesome, but nothing can possibly begin to capture their live show! I have never heard any band be as acurate and precise as Eisley. And all the while making it look efforless! This band is the most amazing God-given talent on His incredible earth! I went there with one purpose... to meet the band, and when I heard them announce that they would be by the merch table to talk afterwards, I was thrilled!

After they were done playing, I immediately went over to the table and waited. They were so nice! All of the band members were so patient and accomodating for everyone! Anyone who wanted to meet them was given their chance. I was amazed! This family (and friend) are some of the most incredible people in the world!

I approached Weston and tried think of something to say. All I could think of was to talk about his drumset. How cliche! But Weston simply blew me away. I think he was the first drummer I have ever met to not immediately begin talking about what he likes and what he has. He seemed only interested in what I had to say! Stacy was also amazing. She seemed so patient and calm. Its not very often someone so young is so mature!

I am so impressed with the DuPree family! (and Jon!) They all made me want to move to Texas just to be able to hang out with them all the time! I’ve got a few questions for Eisley if any of them happen to see this. My email works!

Did you guys ever listen to Miss Angie? or Pedro the Lion? or Starflyer 59?
Did you ever own 3 ring binders full of Star Wars cards? or Archangels comics?

Have a Happy Thanksgiving on the road!!!

Ok, so my name is Billie... and I love Eisley. I was at the show in Lawrence and it was AmAzInG! I was stunned. I stood there in awe the whole time they played. To be honest, I went to see Brand New, but left wanting to hear more of Eisley. I talked to Chauntelle for about 5 min. And I felt like the biggest dork. It's was like a little school girl. Hmm, weird. Anyways....I was VeRy impressed. Not only was the music amazing, but she was such a sweet girl. It was nice to meet someone so cool, with such a good voice, and with such a fresh sound. I think that's what made me click to their music... it's something different, something new, something cool.

So once again...mucho props!!
