57 or 58?Concrete St. Corpus Christi, 5.17.05

Happy Birthday Weston.
Poor Weston - birthday on the road. He didn't get much or feel much... but he's pumped over the new kit he's getting. That's enough to keep him stoked for now. We hugged him and gave him preferential treatment all day. It was an ok day. Driving after the show was hard. But not for sleepers. Anyway. Happy Birthday... now belated, to Weston. 19 years old.

I'm stumbling over my numbers
What happened? I know it looks like I just jumped ahead, but... if my math is correct, there are only 2 shows left after this, so we have to be at 58 in Corpus, right? Sorry. I was never good at math. I'm a a mutematician. A goobermatician. So.... whatever. Please, someone with the time, fix my math.

Eisley Rocked it in Corpus Christi
Hard to say that, especially in a market that embraces Ted Nugent, Creed, Nickelback and Slip knot (sp?). All I know is that there were hords of persons that followed Eisley as they emerged from back stage across the open venue to the merch area. The got stopped so many times and drug glunks of kids along with them toward the boof. I get on to them for stopping and signing before they get to the area where the bulk of kids are waiting patiently. If the stay there, they'll get small mobs of endoplasmic riticulums around them and never make it to the swag zone.

Anyway, the show was good. solid. outdoor. nice temperature. sunny, a sea breeze... good times.

We headed out after settling merch, got gas and magged Richmond, TX. 3.5 Hours later, around 3:30am, we arrived at my brothers house and were welcomed by their entire family - 7. boyfriends and girlfriends and friends and more siblings showed only moments before we arrived.

What else can I say about Corpus Christi? Bret and Hillary, who conducted an interview, hooked us up at a local coffee shop.... half price. Sweet. We just unhooked the van and cruised over. Mine was too sweet, but that's ok. honey is very sweet.

OH, OH... and Weston got a cake shoved into his face by Chad at the show. And James was nice and came to help him clean it off. I have some of it on video. I should stop what I'm doing now and go grab that tune and put it up. I will. boyd out.

I warn you... it's a crappy performance. But, hey, it's Weston's birthday... I gotta put it up anyway. This all happened while they were trying to perform Vintage People. Make sure you post the disclaimer if you show it to someone:

Ehh, don't worry about it. Your allowed to make those mistakes. Actually, I'm suprised you don't make more. If I was in your shoes, I don't even think I could walk straight after so many shows, let alone take the time to post. Major kudos. Thanks for keeping us all updated throughout this tour. It's almost over!!!

oh wait, i'm not a very careful reader, it says weston is 19 years old too, what are the chances? i also play drums but the programming a drum machine kind. my idea of a drum is a button on a drum machine.

human beings are so strange, they might like a person a tiny tiny bit more if they have the same birthdate or name, but these things are purely coincidental and are relatively insignificant details about a person.

Beaumont, TX Shows?
Wink

Sir Boyd, I know this is rather late notice, but seeing as it's looking as though I'll be unable to make the Houston show tonight (19th May 2005: Thurs.), I had a marvelous idea strike me via Mom. I live in Beaumont, TX, Eisley will be traveling from Houston to New Orleans, I know this is a far stretch, but you will be traveling through Beaumont, right? Is there any chance Eisley would be playing any "off the map" shows in Beaumont or nearby... churches, coffeeshops, etc.? Because you Eisley folk are touring with NFG/Reggie, I know the schedule is probably pretty strict, but I thought it would be worth a try to shoot in the dark and ASK. All we can ever do is ask... if it is unfeasible (?) this time, understandably so with time constraints and whatall, could you please consider a future show in Beaumont, TX maybe this summer?

Much appreciation and love...
You guys are amazing amazing.
