Eisley at the vip afterparty

Eisley with Haily Joel Osman(d)? - the guy from 6th Sense and Second Hand Lion.

Flying beats driving... Cowboy hats make Texas girls look so Texan.

Flying into the cloudy city... That's not smog. Hollywood is to the left of LA.

This is boring, but I was impressed over our rooms. Le Montrose Suites.

My first boss out of college used to say, "that's elegant as hell".

Psykotic shot these for me. We were eating with very important poops.

Just kidding. I can't give industry people too much credibility...what, and risk my own?

I heart Warner Bros. I love the Troubadour.

Stacy sings "Just Like We Do".

The gang all got in. Half the gang. It's not fair.

Today Rules
Up at 7:00am, phone calls to SIR, change Tama kit to white Sonar sparkle to work for video as well as live side, walked to get coffee while checking 15 messages, called back the art director for the video, got the most amazing prank call from new management ever (laughed till i cried even though the gag was on me), layed out all receipts for tour, organized and worked spreadsheet for accounting, talked to video director (Marvin Garrrett - NYLON) about us meeting for breakfast, arranged for earlier than 4 transport to get gear from hotel to venue... (gotta GO!!!)

---------------------------------------------

Back from b-fast meeting w/ Marvin. Woah, that was amazing food. Anyway, the band is rested, in good physical, mental health, they're off right now to Marvin's house (LA Nylon office) up on the hill near Studio City where (we stayed for 3.6 months while they did all pre-production and recording on Room Noises) for sizing/clothing styling/fitting, etc. for the video that starts at 8:00am tomorrow morn.

Ok. Well, hope to see you guys tonight. Sorry there's no official band signing. You have to win something to get the vip deal. Kinda sucks, but... that's the way it's going down. Hopefully you guys can meet the band some other time, or outside afterwards. I don't know. Anyway.... take care. See you tonight!

The Troubadour Show

I'm sure by now there's already been some information about the show. I haven't been able to get on line until right now. We're in Long Beach - where Eisley is getting hair and make up for their video shoot. But let's talk about last night:

The evening was picture perfect - for everyone except the however many people that got turned away at the door. That makes me so sad. It really hurts to the core. I heard varying reports on the numbers... 750 - 1000 total, but 400+ were turned away. Their only consolation was - they got Yahoo/Eisely T-shirts. I felt bad.

But the 500 inside created quite an electric atmosphere - full of energy and excitement. It was unlike any show... i think because of so many factors. Silly as it sounds, celebs and editors and publishers and directors and management and label and on and on... were there beholding the magnitude of the turn out... relishing the significance of the evening for Eisley.

Gotta go. The band is about to get video-taped. bd

------------------------------------------

....and, having made the comment about the celebs and vip's, it's you guys that they're responding to. Think if nobody had come; what would be their reaction? (wait, band is on set. action. gotta go get "b roll" to edit something for after this release...!)

----------------------------------------

I'm just going to say - the Troubadour show was great, you guys were amazing... as usual, the band, who feeds almost completely off you, felt welcome and loved... and hopefully you felt the same thing from them.

DANG. eisley on set again. off to film.
----------------------------------------

It's hours later, the band is finished being filmed but there's more drama being taped - stuff they want to see, so... even though a SUV and driver has been waiting since 4:30pm, they're not leaving until they see the spaceman scene. It's almost 8:00pm right now.

Sherri and Chauntelle are gone. ( Crying or Very sad ) They just left to go back to Malibu, where NFG is recording demo work for their new record.
----------------------------------------

Anyway, some great acting going on in there. Had to catch it. sorry.

SO.... wrapping this up: Last night was one of the most memorable, wonderful nights in Eisley history. The fact that nearly 1000 came (I know, it was free) to see the band was a total shock to the band... and sent a wonderful message to WB, who was there in force. We had dinner with all those guys - the head of marketing, our day to day in the marketing dept., new media, A&R and staff, management (3), Chad, and others. Indonesian food is pretty amazing.

Second Hand Lion Guy
That Line. Luke shot it... i mean, video-taped it for me. Pretty weird. Weirder was when Jeff (new media) spotted the kid from 6 Sence in LINE. woah. whatever. that's crazy. He waited since like 3:00 or something, though people were there since 10:30am I heard. Anyway, he got in and all good. Apparently he's a huge fan of the music. Heard "Sea King" while on a plane flying home from Japan. He freaked and researched the band... but this was the first time he's been able to hear them live. The kids said he was so nice... humble, cool, a radiohead fan, told them how crazy he was about their music... Stacy said he was so complimentary and polite. That's nice. I met him but stood off so as not to be a lameoid gaulker.

Michelle Trechenburg
In Harriette the Spy? and The Ice Princess.... and other things. I dunno. She was in our dressing room almost the entire night, except for during the show. Afterward, she was beaming. So complimentary and excited about the band, the show, etc. She was leaving to go to Japan; Rick (manager) hooked her up with a CD so she could digest it on her journey. All of this is so strange to us... but so sweet.

Ice Cream Man
http://www.icecreamman.com/site_draft/new/index_new.html

Go to this site to see the review, the pics, etc. Also... this guy (the ice cream man) pulled up at the Troubadour and actually gave away free icecream! That was amazing. He's doing this all over - and promoting his site, etc. We met him... i think it's Mack? Awesome guy. Pat knows him well. Thanks so much for the cream, dude. Great marketing. Great concept.

I should rap up this day. It's getting out of hand. Too long. Take care.

I'm in line outside of The Troubadour right now. There are a lot of people here considering it's about 2:30 PM. I can't say I'm surprised though.

So there's no official signing? This VIP deal sounds interesting. Well I hope they come out after the show.

Only 5 1/2 more hours until doors open! Very Happy

ohhhh I'm so sad!
I really love Eisley and when I heard about the free show on the website I was thrilled! I asked all my friends to come and although they were not as enthusiastic about it, they agreed because the show was free. We drove from Orange County and arrived in Hollywood at 7. I've never been to the Troubadour, but I was amazed at how many people were already lined up!

Then at 8:45pm the Troubadour security came outside and said the venue was at capacity and "you are waiting for nothing." We waited another 15 minutes, but there were still quite a few people ahead of us, so we cut our losses and went home. Sad

All I wanted was a picture with Eisley and Swift and maybe an autograph. Sad

Well, I hope it was a nice show! Maybe I can go next time. Sad
