The Stacy Show

Well, it's finally happened. Sherri's voice went out. Stacy had to take the lead with only a few whimpers of strained melodic voice from older sis. It was an interesting performance, to say the least. The vaccum was felt by all... but the solo performance was one I wouldn't have wanted to miss.

Opening w/ blast from the unrecorded past, Stacy kicked off the show with her eerie snappy "Lady of the Wood" with a bit of low register harmonies - the last the short set would hear. 2nd up, "Espcaping Song", came off with no glitches followed by "Golly Sandra", another quintessentially Stacy tune.

"Just Like We Do" was undoubtedly the highlight of the show. Pure. Emotionally arresting. The crowd quieted. It was a beauty to behold.

I'm not writing a review ok.... this is a fast stream. I only have 18% left on my Mac and it's a beautiful day outside. I will catch up with pics and video's etc. later.

I should add, right now that we have a top of the heap Lighting Director out with us for these last 3 shows. Just off the Weezer/Foo-Fighter's tour, he's more experienced than probably anyone in our small team, including the band. ha ha... more about Leif later; but you should see the lights. I have PICS!! (soon)

"They All Surrounded Me" came off pretty sweet. It's a Stacy song, to be sure; the harmonies were missed but the song held together really well; I wish the same could be said for "Over the Mountains"... the band had a rough time dusting that one off... and the chorus just didn't sound the same without Sherri's ooh-ahhhhh's.

Telescope Eyes wasn't bad! Stacy carried Sherri's lead on the chorus for a very decent performance. I was surprised. "Marvelous Things" came off tight! - but I really missed Sherri's lead vocal on the chorus. Stacy opted to sing her harmony since Sherri's part is way, way up there.

I gotta go for now. Thanks San Diego for being super supportive last night. I can't say it was perfect, but I feel like it was pretty special. You guys were amazing.

Early reports this morning point to a repeat of last night's show... perhaps a few alterations, but... Sherri is still sounding gruff.

These were the proud winners... from Detroit! They were flewn and wined and dined with Eisley here in San Diego. Fun stuff. Thanks Atticus and...
THANKS FOR THE TRAILER!!! (more about that guys soon) bd

We stayed at this lovely home... Lovely isn't really the word. It was seriously stupid... so far over our heads. We want to publically thank Erin Hawk for the West Coast hospitality - and for giving up her amazing home on the beach for us to crash at for 3 days. We soaked up the sand, the sea, the sun... band and crew. It was like a mini-vacation. Well, there were those 2 shows that happened during this time, but, still... you get the idea. Thanks Rick and Julie for the hook up with your neighbors.

Awwwwwww I hope Sherri feels much better. I don't know how some vocalists do it! I just heard Hanson's live interview today and they sounded like they had pneumonia! But they managed to pull off a great concert, from what I heard. So yeah, God bless Stacy for carrying the lead! Give everybody a big high five for me, Boyd? Thanks!

Poor Sherri, I hope she feels better real soon!

Oh my, Lady of the Wood, The Escaping Song, and They All Surrounded Me!! I would have liked to hear all of those in L.A. But I know the only reason why those were sung were because they are Stacy songs.

I hope the show goes well tonight! And since it's the last show, Sherri will have time to recuperate.

Wowwww.
I would have loved to see a Stacy-driven show.
Her old songs are some of my favorites.
The band should undust them more often.
Lady of the Wood, The Escaping Song, and They All Surrounded Us are all amazing.

I hope Sherri gets better soon though.
That can't be fun. Confused
