I can only hope these images don't require words.
Leif did a spectacular job: http://radiantdarkness.com/
Update! Hey - to the few of you keeping up with this journal, now trailing into random, infrequent posts. I apologize. It's been difficult to keep up the paswt few days but I'm still plugging away. Even though I have posted less content, I've actually been grabbing more and more content as the tour has come to a close. On other tours, I usually video was everything, As of late, I've realized the power of [ii]still[/i] images. Fewer words seems to be working, though I reaiize, at this point, you probably know less about what's going on than you did on other tours.
Memories I have to say, the finale to this tour is going to hang for a long time; the experiences and relationships and memories will endure. The time spent with the Switchfoot guys, the ReeveOliver guys, the Augustana guys, the time spent Rick and his family and gang, the amazing house on the beach... spending time with our family... the whole thing; pretty much everything that happened here in San Diego... was emotionally enriching; it was like therapy.
The Show Sunday Night's show was perhaps more spectacular than the previous night... only because the band pulled off the set about as well as it could have performed. Only slightly awkward without Sherri's harmonious/lead duality, Stacy led the charge with clarity, impact and - I might add beauty[/i]; the brilliant at times/eerie at times – [b]lights that enveloped and sculpted the front line was sure easy on the film and added a dimension to the show that more than compensated for the vocal void. Telescope Eyes came off with splendor, Over the Mountains was so tight, I didnt' care that Sherri's soaring harmony was missing... and I almost thought the roar after their final tune - Marvelous Things, would evoke an encore... (jk. the clock had run out).
It was the best that it could have been. Perhaps, a rare treat for some of you hard core fans who might have never scene the band in this situation. I nearly tear up every time I hear "Just Like We Do" live.
Stay tuned for pics of Weston and Brad's invasion during Switchfoot's 4th song. I'm never shocked at what Weston will do to create weird fun. He certainly found a willling partner in Brad - Reeveoliver's drummer. It was hilarious.
Capturing the ClosureI don't think I've even begun to do justice to these experiences in the short posts and few pics thus far, but I'll work on it. Right now, I have to research more campsites before we push East. I have so many pics and will work on posting more over the next few days... err, well, I guess there won't be any internet in the woods, but... when we come back out of the darkened forest, I'll have more.
Thanks. boyd

Guys. I'm backstage. The tour is ending. Switchfoot is playing their hit song... right before their encore. The night was amazing. Weston and Brad from Reeveoliver went out and danced on a Switchfoot tune. I have video and photos of the day and tonight. But it takes time. Please post and I'll come back on the road and post media! It was another Stacy show. It was great. Thanks! bd
