NYC TRIP

In front of Rollingstone.com (i like these girls)

In the Rollingstone.com offices

This is Eisley, Tom Delonge and David Weir - the head guy at Fuse.

Fuse set... taping for "Stephen's Untitled Rock Show" - I will post dates soon.

SO... what were they doing in NY?

They had meetings all day - Rhapsody, Rollingstone, Fuse, MTV, Elle girl - meetings mostly about MacBeth and Eisley.

Not sure if you guys know who Tom is: formerly Blink182; new band: Angels and Airwaves. He started Atticus and MacBeth... combining rock and fashion. I haven't met him but the girls said he was SO nice... a great communicator (he conducted all of these meetings), funny, personable... but basically, he loves the band - loves their style, etc. He told them that they were the coolest band with girls out there... in fact, he told them they were the only cool girl band Smile But don't quote me. I might have made that up. I'm sure he likes other girl bands. (smokescreen) And, apparently they're super stoked over Eisley at MacBeth - a completely separate company than Atticus w/ it's own agressive marketing etc.

In fact, I might have mentioned it - they're wanting the girls to design a shoe. (MacBeth does shoes) So..they get to draw and sketch and create... I guess, create an Eisley shoe. crazy, huh? Oh... and the head girl at Elle Magazine is a big Eisley fan and is coming to the Farmingdale show.

Well, it all seems crazy, but it was a great opportunity to meet people, hang out, get some exposure, get free shoes, fly around in airplanes... oh, and I think i mentioned, they met those other rock bands too (in my last post, or was it the one before).

Show Update

The Sacramento show is on sale and I finally got the website:

]CLICK: Sacramento Tickets[/url]. Anyway, cool. I put the dates that tickets go on sale on the CLICK: Main Tour Page. Just letting you know.

The Girls Are Back from LA!
It was nice - pickin' n 'em up at our good ole Pounds Field right here in Tyler, Texas. Home sweet home. Their mom has an amazing pot of beans on... everyone is hangin' out, enjoying everyone's company... it's awesome.

They did lots of fun stuff on NFG's record. That's all i know - background's and piano. Sherri said the new stuff is so, SO good. I've heard demo's and - dang. Dang those boys are really making it happen. I know some of you would say you aren't into NFG... but this record will cause you to gain huge respect - if not win you over. You can't help but not wanna sing real loud and embarassing to this these songs. ha ha... can't wait. And now - Eisely has a little signature in there. Life is so weird. Who'd have thought. And now Chad is building this mundo beautiful home here in Tyler. EVERYBODY move to TYLER! It's amaaaaazing. Smile Hey, we have 2 Starbucks ok? And we even have a little indie shop... but they don't make it strong enuf so I can't support their indie-ness.

A DIGITAL BOARD!!!
I know most of you won't care. It's for gear heads... but we're getting

Yamaha 01V96V2 digital board
Focusrite OctoPreLE
XLR snake
Roadcase

Why? ok... because sound suffers in small to midsized venues. The band and fans suffer as a result. Eisley’s music so lush; they’re so intricate, sublime... i hesitate to say magical. (that's me, not them, plus I'm talking comparitively; they're not like some 3-4 piece guy rock band... "check, check" (strum, kuchank, strum)...nods, "we're good".

We needed the ability - (through technology) to help them bring the magic to you guys. In a way, iit's a way we can embellish, amplify and regenerate the beauty... replicate it and also cut down on the stress on band/crew. I think the value to you guys will be tangible... I can't promise you'll notice the difference, but... epecially in small venues, where sound tends to be lame, this will make a huge difference.

So, every show, we simply roll in, plug into the house PA; everything is set:
levels, board eq’s, ‘verb & effects for vocals and all instruments, etc. House eq is all we’d have to tweak...but most houses have been EQ’d w/ white noise, etc. No more fighting house techs and their whacky old boards, cheap boards, crappy run-down gear... No more noisy sliders that people hear during shows! Half of the time, these clubs have boards have channels OUT, or they cut out during their set. No more brands of rack effects that all have their own idiosynchronous issues. No more dialing in effects as the band is coming out on stage... (especially for opening slots)

Eisley is a band that will benefit drastically from having the right reverb
for every singer’s voice night after night. It’s all built in. Everything setting - saved. You simply hook it up, turn it on, the levels snap into place just like the night before and you start the race close to the finish line.

Front Page of the Eisley site
I'm working on a few replacement shots for the front of the site... it's not fair to Garron, right? I mean, Jon up and quit; Garron came, stood in the gap, took the mantle... but he's virtually invisible. ha ha.

The pic isn't so great. Really.. it's a snap shot... not a real photo. I looked at it on line quickly and took it down because it's very sub par. I'll keep looking. There are new shots coming for the next site... oh, oh... they're really nice. Maybe i should just clone Garron's head onto the existing shot.. omgosh...that would be so funny. John wouldn't care. He'd laugh i'm sure.

ahh.. YES... a gear head. you see it...

On some of these past shows, Eisley, the middle band, would get NO (no) sound check. No warm up. Nothing. Your gear is scattered around the stage, you're waiting or Switchfoot or Hot Hot Heat or whoever to finish sound check... but all your going to get to do is backline your gear and let the opener set up and take their merry time getting a nice, long sound check before doors.

You get used to it, but...now plug in this technology. This will be the biggest upgrade in Eisley Live since getting that Magellan ("mag"). We used to get lost on the way to venues... now we don't. End of stress. Prior to this tour, we'd get lost in sonic space. No more.

That is a freaking awsome DAW, and I like the preamp too. What kind of cases are you getting?

You should get Weston in on those Eisley shoes. He seems to have a knack for it.

The Mag is very magical, and I think if Eisley designs a Macbeth shoe, I'd buy it...of course...I already have 3 pairs...
