OVERVIEW
So, I know what you're thinking... What?! - BEFORE the Spring Tour? (I'm speaking to us here in the US) It is a bit unusual. But it appears to be an amazing opportunity.

btw: The US tour has been fittingly named: "Final Noise". New posters will reflect this... The new name coincideds with the itunes support CD for this tour - which contains 2 of the final noise x-tra tracks that could have been on "Room Noises"... AND, you might have figured out - this is the final tour of "Room Noises")

So! Australia: Eisley is main support - that means, they'll get the least sound check but the most glorified position. (middle spot) They have a 45 minute set. That's a good amount of time.

WHY AUSTRALIA?!! I'm sure you guys in the UK are asking, right? Well, it's partly random. Also... the opportunity presented itself and it worked out. Our overseas agent tried to get on a good tour in the UK a few months back but couldn't make it happen. Overlapping headlining tours complicated things. This was just one of those crazy deals... Eisley's management was really hot on this; ( i told you before, they're intent, focused, rock solid on the idea of seeing Eisley break in international markets. Australia is just one of many he has deep experience in) ...so, the only opposition wer finances... (oh, a small thing). No, it was a big deal ya'll. It's freaking major dollars to go over there. Rick (Eisley's manager) pretty much just never gives up on what he believes in. Thanks to WB and all the promoters of those shows and TBS for extending help to make this happen.

We leave on the 10th - Exactly one week from today - OLord... if you only knew what this is doing to our schedule. I can't even see straight. I see crooked - thru dry eyes. i'm working 20 hrs a day. whaa... poor baby is going to Australia.

EXPECT pretty pics, media (movies!) and tour journals pouring in from Australia. That's all i have to say about that... but you already guessed based on years of consistent obsessiveness. (sp?)

NEW ORLEANS is sad.
The tragedy of this opportunity is - we'll be in Australia when we need to be in New Orleans to kick off the "Final Noise" tour... which sucks terribly. My understanding as of today is that they'll reschedule this first show... (i know, i know... you're yelling and screaming... i'm sorry) Hopefully they'll put it right after the Dallas show.

You can shoot the messenger, but it's not my fault. I'm just the guy who has to break the news to you. It's hard. I've travailed over this... So, to the people of Louisiana - (my home state) and in New Orleans - (where I was born) we're really, really sorry... especially if it screws up your life plans or if you might not be able to do a make up show at the end of this tour. Don't call the club yet... I'll get you info asap. They don't know anything yet and i don't want to cause trouble. When I know, i'll post it here.

I'm going to update on THIS thread... not start a new one. New info will continue below about this tour.

Hey! It's the weekend
Working on myspace bulletin to blast, the WB data-base newsletter blast; i should hear more info soon. bd

JOURNAL CONTINUED

Hey. It's monday morning and I hit the couch running. (i work on the couch ) The first word i heard on Eisley.com being down was that it seemed there was an explosion and fire in the building, but not where the servers were. This was not comforting at all. In the event of an explosion, we'll route all communication thru myspace.com/eisley. But it looks like we're back up and all is well.

All systems GO
Everything is working out nicely... but the West Coast isn't really up yet so i don't know much info on "instores" or details like that yet. For you Australians, i heard confirmation over the weekend, at least, that tickets for that second Sidney show were ALL AGES and available.

STAY TUNED TODAY on all this. Thanks.

INSANE ROUGH PROPOSED SCHEDULE!!
DISCLAIMER: Eisley management/Atticus is going to TRY to make this happen. Right now, it's a discussion. I'm just giving you guys in Australia the heads up... to let you know how important we think it is to try to get in your face. Smile Again... ROUGH. It's concept right now. I'll keep you posted as it forms into something real.

-------------------------------------------------------------

MELBOURNE:

Monday 13th Afternoon instore signing. Followed by show with TBS.
Tuesday 14th TBS show followed by TBS signing and Eisley small club headline show. (they're ALL 18+ sorry. We're told that's all they'll do over there - which is why we'll do acoustic instores to cover more bases)

SIDNEY:

Wednesday 15th TBS/Eisley show
Thursday 16th Utopia (TBC) instore during the day followed by TBS/Eisley show.
Friday 17th Harbour cruise then club show at night.

BRISBANE:

Saturday 18th Fly to Brisbane in the morning. Possible Matinee instore acoustic set at record shop. TBS/eisley show at night.

So... i'm just making it clear. We're going to try to make this happen. Good chance most of it will happen in some form or fashion. Thanks! Stay Tuned. I'm posting on this thread.

Hey...No News is No News

Back and forth with everyone on the expanding team to figure out the schedule down under. I've had over 200 emails since yesterday... answered most of them.

And, so far, no news on the New Orleans show. I'm not sure what's happening. The longer the wait, the worser i assume the outcome.

I could bore you guys with what all I'm doing, but... then this journal would end up being about me. Speaking of me... what else do you want to know about me?

I really like you people. I wish i could just get a big bunch of you together and do one of those "i'd like to teach the world to sing... in Eis-ley harmony..". yeah, i don't think that will happen.

Info coming in - as "they're" still in their work day. I promise to keep you informed. boyd

"i tore up my new orleans ticket but am gluing
it back together with my blood at myspace.com /I'mSoScenEmo"

there are no words to describe how unbelievably humourous that was for me.

Referencing the above:

It crushes me that we did this to ya'll (i can say ya'll if i'm in the South talking to someone in the South). Please don't loose hope or tear up your ticket and glue it back together with your blood. I don't think the blood will work. Marty will get me info very, very soon on this.

I'd give up seeing Eisley for a year to help get Paul into that show. Who do I have to kidnap? The Australian PM? A kangaroo? I'll dress up as a dingo and take a baby if I have to. Shocked
