GETTING HERE was filled with adventure. The drive from Tyler was great, but we knew something was wrong in Dallas when the sky cab dudes said they couldn't check our baggage for that particular flight. Once inside, the line was long and information was scarce. Apparently our plane never took off from it's previous destination... Passengers began missing their connecting flights. The cool thing was - they found US a direct flight to LA; so - instead of being routed to Memphis, we flew straight to LA after a 4 hr layover.

Once in LA, the outlook seemed so bright; Chad drove up from recording his record in Hollywood... we'd all have some hangtime - arriving at 3:30, departing for Australia at 8:30. One problem - Sherri dropped her passport in the ladies room and didn't discover it until we had walked passed the cheeck points and outsize the security system.

Getting it back took shear panic... WE screamed and ran and tried to get help... nobody would let us back in. "But my daughter left her passport in the womens's room right over there!! WE have to get it!" Finally a supervisor wrote Chauntelle a temp boarding pass - but she had to get thru the check-point again. People were rude. It was taking forever. Every second was crucial. Anything could happen. She was in a panic.

After about 20 minutes into the ordeal, w/ Chauntelle finally got thru the checkpoint, we heard Sherri's name thru a loud speaker in the Airport; but we had no clue where it was coming from.... Long story, but we finally got it back after much travail; and everything was ok... but, it was horrorfyingly = a potentially devastating disasteroussituaation... a deal breaker... the trip would have been scrubbed.... all the ticket's wasted... a bad, bad scene. Instead, it was miraculous and by 8:30, we were on that 747 - whooosh.

The trip was a tripl....it was cool and weird; you end up chasing the sun, but we only caught up with it for a brief moment... it "set" on a pitch-black night with no audience. what a beautiful sight. We saw daybreak in Aukland, New Zealand. That was crazy i tell you. It didn't shine for the entire trip.

Well, best layed plans.... i'm falling asleep and the first show has already happened tonght.
I can't even spelll check this. Can't hold eyes open. More later.
