Hi Houston
"I Can't Tell You How Amazing it is to be in Texas"

blue crowd turns out after pouring down rain

Early morn drive yields good vibe at Starbucks somewhere about an 2 hrs outside Houston, where we found Brighten's van in the parking lot with them sound asleep... what good did the overnight drive do them?

climb in, climb out, climb in, climb in...

Sherri/Chauntelle help out Brighten... short handed for guitarist and needing support in a song.

no light image of band from back

finale'.

Finale' dark.

I have plenty more pics but I fear I'll bore you guys.

----------------------Day after Journal-----------------------------------

Sherri must have said it 3 times. Also, the band has finally realized their tight afffinity w/ the Houston crowd; Sherri figured it out on stage - they were all born in Houston. Even Garron, who lives in Houston still.

I think if I could have measured the crowd clapter (includes screaming, etc.) the db level would have edged out the other shows. The 650 who showed filled the room out nicely - making it the promoters right choice to move to the big room.... with AC!! Smile Who remembers the hellish tomb we almost all died in the last time the band played? Sherri kept saying that Weston almost died at that show. And some of Pilotdrift were also throwing up in the shower backstage after having to cut their set short. Heat exhaustion was rampant.

But not last night. It was very cool...

I wasn't so hot over the sound. That room has issues. The back of the room is a bass trap. The right and left center sounded like a train reck in the mud... the center pole was the sweet spot. We had to mix for the center to try to get the best for everyone. In the very front, you can hear Sherri/Stacy sing....like the noise from their mouths - not the PA. Anyway, it doesn't matter so much. It was a great night.... live music is what it is.

Appreciate you guys. How'd you like the new songs? Judging from the response, I think you were totally into them. wow.

Off to Austin! I have great photos but have to have time to get them tweaked and resized (majorly shrunk) and posted. See you tonight at the La Zona Rosa!!

boyd

The show was awesome! I was standing right next to the "sweet spot" and it sounded prettty great. New songs were great too. I'm thinking Invasion was probably my favorite.

The show last night was sooo good! I got video of "Like the actors", "Head against the sky" and "Trolley Wood" (which was so cute, p.s.). It was awesome meeting you too! Good luck with the rest of the tour and God bless!

I got about a minute's worth of The Escaping Song on video, but I wasn't sure how the sound quality would turn out, so I cut it off. The sound actually ended up being good, so I wish I'd recorded the whole thing.

Anyhow, thank you guys so much for the great show.

oh my gosh. i'm not going to sit here and go on and on about how great you are...i will however say this..BOYD, YOU ARE AMAZING. ALL OF EISLEY. end of story. my friend courtney and i were right in front of Chauntelle..yes, with the badly sharpie'd E's on our cheeks..it's the thought that counts really, and in our minds we were showing the love. =] i was the hyper deaf one in the trolleywood shirt. due to the fact that Chauntelle's face is not in a mic all the time, her lips are quite easy to read. i LOOOVED being so close to the stage..i could feel the vibrations like whoa...so i kept my hands spread lightly on the stage..and probably looked like an idiot. but that matters not..i got to see eisley in concert before i lose the rest of my hearing! i find it funny actually that when you're signing and you are hard of hearing, not deaf, people come up BEHIND you and ask you if you are deaf...if you're behind them they can't read your lips, nor could they hear the question...but oh well. yes, so here's a message from those crazy white girls down front. we wanted desperately to meet Chauntelle, Stacy, and Sherri..as courtney said "it's like at the moment the guys of the band are chopped liver." But we still love Garron and Weston!! yes yes we are insane...we were so sad that they started shooing us out of the meridian...we were going to wait...
