TOUR JOURNALS BEGIN NOW MARCH 31, 2008

ABOUT TIME
Well, it's finally here. It's happening. I can't believe it. Seems like we've been off the road for 5 months (yes). We're so ready - define ready. No clue. Ready to get the band out of this house, out of the drone of present era. ready to get out there to see u guys. Eisley is ready to see the band play lots and lots of shows. FORTY-SEVEN, to be exact. I hope you're going to enjoy the songs, the experience, the moment.

SPONSO-MATIC
Possible we'll be picking up a sponsor on this trip - which will be very rad. I can't say anything unless it happens. If it does happen, there'll for sure be some signings... not sure how we'll fit them in, but I don't see how it could happen post show. Hoping this unknown sponsor will come hang out since we like Zone Perfect bars (wups).

PRESS-NESS
Lots of press happening. Tons of phoners during last 2 weeks. TV show in Austin, TV show in DC, interviews, interviews... all along the way. Lots of web. It comes in from all over... more and more these days. Hard to keep up. All good. It's getting late and i desperately need some sleep.

TRANSPORT UNIT JIBBERISH
Bus call is at 8:45am in the parking lot in front of Best Buy. Van and trailer will be loaded down w/ personal and sound gear. That could take a while. We roll out at 10:00am for Houston. Look - just because we're in a fancy bus doesn't mean Eisley is a nice, big band now. Well, they're nice. The van has 220k miles on it and with the size of clubs, limitation on dressing rooms, the amount of bands on this tour, the rugged schedule, the long hard drives with early load-in's (because we have to load in early it would be nearly impossible to make day drives), Eisley opted to do it in a bus. It doesn't come without a cost, believe me. I imagine there will be other van tours... but we need to get a new one first. PLUS - our gear weighs more these days. We were over-loaded by many, many lbs. (1000? - i can't remember). PLUS, our trailer was injured and needed $2500-3000 to fix it. So, we load into the bus and bus trailer (leased) pretty early.

INSTOREZ GALOR'Z
CACTUS RECORDS in-store. We missed the store's ad schedule so... maybe there won't be too many folks there. It's ok... more browsing thru record bins for us. Plus, we get to have an easy day (on this rugged tour with hardly any days off). The band will play a short set and sign, hang out a bit... then we'll head off to Garron's folks and eat, stay up way too late, load in around 1:30... and, well - the rest is pretty much going to be a repeat for the next 2 months.

Oh, and there will be other in-stores. Will push them before we get to that market. Just wanted to make sure you knew so you could come - if you knew where but you don't.

SET LIST
I just wanted to get you the set list for the tour so... um, it's 1. Gollywag, 2. Incense and Peppermint 3. Over the Brillig' 4. Gyroscopic Ears 5. Jibulations 6. Body against the moon 7. Lady of the Tramps 8. Sherri and Chauntelle weren't Prepared 9. Sick Things 10. Lost at market 11. Slowly bloated away 12. Two Funerals 13. Inversion 14. bloo blah blee blah - that's all I can remember. If i didn't get it exactly right, it' s just because we haven't toured in a long time.

COME SEE US
Come hear Eisley - and those other really fantastic bands. That's the best appeal I can make I guess. This is not going to be glitz and bling and shizzel. This is eisley - with a new thing. A new confidence. A new (lengthy) set list... with a some delightful surprises (tricks up their sleeves; hint: songs you've never heard live and songs that haven't been heard live in years). This is Eisley on their first, last and only "Combinations" headlining tour. No regrets.

Luv you guys. If that's cheesy, then - yah, of course. I said it.

boyd.

P.S. JOURNALS. POSTS. PICS. VIDEOS. Tomorrow morning at 10:00am, my bus office will be set up, on-line and ready for business.

P.S.S. Bring your cameras! boof. boof. Big or small. No restrictions unless you know already that the venue absolutely says no. I will try to find out and post info pre-show if any rules apply. Our rules are: no rules.

So you're saying I can use my Nikon D50 at Liberty Hall? Well, I've used it there before! Razz What about flash? I think they said no flash when I was there in 2006...

I got my tickets for the Seattle show last week. I'm looking forward to the show. The venue website says "no cameras" (booooo!) so I'm not sure if that will be a possibility here, but I hope that changes somehow... Have a great start to the tour...

Well, that's certainly an interesting set list. LOL Incense and Peppermints reminds me of the 70's. Wink

If you want to set up an instore in Salt Lake, I'd recommend Graywhale in Taylorsville, it's pretty close to the venue and they've done instores for Mae there before.

And did I tell you that I love you and your camera policy? Smile
