Eisley Opens!
Hey guys. I don't have tons of details yet about any or this but I promise you there'll be more coming. All I can tell you is Eisley is going to perform - acoustically - backed by Mateo's orchestra. I don't know how many songs at this point but will let you know asap. Even if it's 3-4 songs, it'll be the experience of a lifetime. Creative meetings are happening to determine all things.

I do know that Mateo saw Eisley at Sundance Film Festival - "Where Music Meets Film" and is a a true fan; obviously, or there would be some sizeablely larger act (Alice in Chains, Heart in previous Concerts) chosen than Eisley. He's a great guy; full of heart, compassion, talent. The chemistry is there and the band is more excited about this than they've been about anything in a long time. It's right up there with making a new record. Smile

Mateo has great vision. His commitment to the kids at the hospital is contagious. I guess I'm trying to say - the show isn't about Mateo OR Eisley; it's about raising funds to help families with terminally ill children... which rocks. I've seen clips from his previous concerts and this is something spectacular. Anyone who thinks this is a chance to yawn for an hr or two - it's not. Highly entertaining; Mateo is very interactive. He's quite an entertainer.

Eisley is psyched. Imagine getting to rehearse for 2 days and play your songs backed by an Orchestra... maybe 100 piece - in a beautiful theatre in one of your favorite cities?! I know it's a big deal to them; hope it strikes your fancy as well. Think of getting to see Eisley's acoustic set with the biggest production possible. It'll be filmed from what I understand; they'll use lots of cameras; they'll multi-track the show (woot)... and we can use them for whatever kind of media release we want. That's good news - for the many of you who can't make it. For those who can come, please remember to start saving for a donation to the cause.

I will be talking about this more and more as the day draws near. I will NOT be telling you guys which songs Eisley is going to play, though I already know. They're all songs I love, appreciate, approve; I can't wait to hear them with orchestral arrangements. Did I say arrangements? I don't know that for sure. But it's a very creative environment; anything is possible. I believe this rare performance will be very special.

Come to the Concert!
Drive in, fly in, take the ferry, swim across the sound, hike over the mountains, cross the border... I don't care. Help raise money for some Mom's and Dad's who can't afford hospital care for their very sick children. Support an organization/entity that puts smiles on the faces sick children; come hear Mateo's concert - and see one of your favorite bands perform in grand style in an amazing theatre backed by cello's, bassoons, tuba's, oboes, and clarinets!

New Blog Soon
Thanks everyone. I'll be posting more soon about Eisley's Eis-Wood recording sessions. But not until there are at least 1000 comments on this post!. i'm KIDDING (hmmm... then again...) ok... maybe 100. This blog is way more important and your comments are insightful. I'm sure people from their camp are peering in.

Btw - thanks for the great comments on the last post. As always, I'll try to watch comments on this post and answer any questions I can in the comments area. There are nice big rumblings going on up in here but the most exciting is: new songs. yeeps. Thnx everyone. bd

Sounds amazing! Such a great event for such a great cause Smile
And the thought of acoustic versions of Eisley songs backed by an orchestra makes me very excited. I'm sure that it is going to be an extraordinarily beautiful performance.
