CLICK BANNER TO SEE "COME CLEAN".

DERN
I exported the video's to QT (high broadband) and made images, links, posted them here but then i realized there was NO SOUND!! crap. So i pulled them down. It took forever to convert them too. poo. Any clues?
When I import them into imovie, i get the same result. They don't play. But the source files - Canon camera video - play fine.

intro clip
I give up. Nuf' of this nonsense. I spent 2 hrs trying to convert "Go Away". Anyway, here's a short intro clip. Thnx ya'll.

ABOVE BANNER LINKS TO CLIP OF "COME CLEAN"
It's very lo - fi. No mics on guitars; lapel mic clips on the girls. Sounds decent though; I promised I'd link it so... here ya go. I realize you guys have heard a jillion live acoustic clips of this song... so - this is no big deal. Hopefully a bunch of early risin' East Texuns (old folks?) saw the clip. btw, they did "Go Away" too; If I have it on my lil' cam', I'll toss it on.

IKE - News Break
Woah, Galveston is gonna flood, right? This crazy storm is 500 miles wide! Surge is inevitable. yeesh... water is gonna get'cha. Get out. Get out.

I worked the 3rd or 4th or 5th all nighter in a row; or was it more... i can't remember. but it was nice to have worked all night and be up this morning because we watched the girl's performance to rock us to sleep (i got 3.5 hrs and was good to go again). more below.

HEY... you should mix pumpkin seeds with honey roasted Sunflower seeds (from health store)... it's so good. hmm... I need a cup of joe. Sitting here Watchin' Hurricane News. Entertaining. Never as bad as what they say: "certain death" to those who stay along the coast in Galveston. That's pretty grave; hype? mmm. I dunno. But for sure - houses are going to float away. I hate to see 100 year old Texas history destroyed.

Anyway, I'll try to post something this weekend. I might be slipping. Did I sound cognizant in that last paragraph. Am I cog'? I don't feel so cog'.

Garron will ride it out in a tiny raft
Nah, Garron and fam' are long gone... the young man headed West - toward Austin. They are safe and sound. But I predict, sadly, that up to 20 stubborn people could lose their lives on the Gulf coast. Texun's are rugged individuals... especially the stupid ones who get drunk at Hurricane parties. But old lady's don't count. They're not stupid. They just refuse to leave their homes.

We're way up in the North. Nothing can get us up here... well, 'cept maybe Tornado's; they could sure suck us up; thank God - no Earthquakes, tidal waves, fires, flooding, cactus toppling's, rusty Cadillac's with headless drivers driving in V formation with sharp sickles to behead Tylerites. We'll get rain and wind. But even HERE, they're saying we're out of gasoline... lines of people are buying up everything in the stores, etc. yeesh. Hurricanes are good for some economies. c'ya'll.

Local Love
I don't know much about it honestly. Bryan Houston contacted me over a month ago about having the girls in the studio. I responded the same day but more than likely my e-mail got pushed into his junk bin or something. No matter. He found Sherri on FaceBook so here we are... 2 acoustic songs tomorrow morning at 7:00am (Wed). i have no idea whether or not it's being taped for airing at some other time or whether it's going to air in the morning. I only know we're showing up w/ acoustic guitars and cables and tuners and Eisley girls. Just keeping you guys informed (i.e. i'll report tomorrow when i know more). Thnx for tuning in! bd

Update

Crappy Blackberry, blurry shot of the scene this morning at 7:00am - with Bryan Houston and crew.

It was a simple, lo-fi set up - mics on girls only (picks up ambient guitars) and slammed down - one take. I don't even think we were there 30 minutes. Everyone made a fuss and loved the music; of course, the usual daunting obsession with Eisley's affinity with Coldplay; Smile. hey, i'm not complaining. The credibility from opening the Rush of Blood tour keeps on giving... it's like a medal that cannot be striped away.

I started writing a bunch of words but cut the content and will hold it for the next post. I want to start talking about the next record, where Eisley is, where you are, where things are going, etc. Too 'off topic' for this post. Collecting thoughts, words to present... soon. I understand that all agree I am depriving u guys of media. tsk. tsk. will have to change that.

Anyway - thanks to CBS 19, Bryan and team. Appreciate your kindness. We'll do it again if you want. If i get a chance to edit clips from the morning, i will. Thnx. bd

Yeah, it's not fair to those of us who don't live in Texas if there isn't going to be video.

i have a hard time finding tapes lately for my trusty ole Sony Hi-8 Digital video recorder; but I will take a pocket Sony camera and film each song. The audio might suck but... it'll be something. Also, I imagine they'll give us a digitized copy of the reel. If that happens, I'll put it on line.

Hi Jamie. Wut's up? How's Minneapolis? We should catch up.

Ernie - yes. I will surely open up the floodgates... during sessions and other upcoming events. We've been in limbo-land and are still working on an inevitable emergence back into the so-called lime-light. We plan on blasting content to you guys in an annoying, consistent stream... starting soon. Thanks for the lerv. You're all the best.
