Eisley at Work

Hello again. Sorry for the non-com def com. The band has been working their ayez off on getting songs sounding magically delicious. Yours truly-Trolly has been working on a project that nearly torpedoed my own nuclear sub-vessel (10 hrs total of sleep from last last Friday till this morning at 6am) so there hasn't been much time for any of us be all bloggy. Twitter provides snippet-frequent updates and some of the band members have facebook profiles. We do what we can. The world is changing. We all say and hear all things. I'm starting to agree with many that there is just too much information in the information age.

Still... don't think slackered-ism is on the rise. I may be a brain-deranged lunk ... very lacking in physical fortitude from Navy-Seal-level sleep deprivation but I'm not about to stop documenting. Welcome to the medioric rise of a cyclopse on the wall. The photos are yawners but the music I heard sure woke me up.

THE BLACKROOM
(the walls are lit because i'm using a flash) The band set up in the concrete-floored room at Rosewood and are multi-tracking raw takes of all the songs as they work through pre-production. They're all on headphones, using our monitor board and system... pointed in toward each other... jamming out song after song. The vibe is contagious. I guess you figured out, album#3 is finally in progress. This is the real thing. No more awkward pauses. cya. ~ bd

Wow, first comment for once. Yay for being up early-ish for work.

I really love seeing rooms packed full of nice gear such as this. And I'm very excited for the new album. Keep up what I'm sure is good work, guys.

Also, Boyd, I think you may be some sort of super-human. 10 hours of sleep in the past week is nuts.

Yay! Seeing is believing. So excited that the ball is rolling and gaining more speed. Can't wait for the new album. I'm really excited to see where this album is going and where it'll land. From what I've heard (the two live songs and that 17 second clip from eis-wood 1), this will be their best album to date.

ok. I get it. Big Ideas wants song titles. You're all saying you've waited patiently so.... because you guys have exhibited such high moral excellence in persevering with steadfast loyalty... And because it's in my traditional character to present the actual names of songs (my monotonous monologue?) prior to the release of each and ever record, I will now reveal the title names of 6 songs in random order:

1. Widowing my Penguin Lover
2. Space Goat Returns with the Galactic Flock
3. The Ring of the Lords (are leaping, they are a leaping)
4. Hot Hot... Too Hot to Habanero Trot
and that old classic Eisley song - re-tracked by popular demand:
5. Her Head Looked Like a Rotten Gourd to Me That Day
