Jamie/Theantrider reporting again!

Whew! That show rocked, and now my brain is about the consistency of bad gravy now, but here are some of a gaggle of photos! I'll spare you my review, but check it out at http://jcm-photo.com/2009/06/06/brewtones-benefit-show-rocks/ if you want.

=============================

THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
Eisley is doing a small-town acoustic show w/ Max this FRIDAY night at our old venue. We're not making a deal out of this or spending much time promoting it (thus, one week's notice). It's a benefit show for a local entity called SKAD - run by teens who help teens. Jake Germany, a talented local singer songwriter, opens. If you want to come and are driving from Dallas or somewhere, you should try to get hear early enough to protect your emotions from fear of non-entry.

BREWTONES

Edit. Details
Neither band wants to headline per se but I'd prefer that Eisley not risk arrogant local hero stigma syndrome (ALHSS), so I've asked Max to finish out the night. Both acts will play for an hr. So here's my best guess for the show schedule:

7:30pm doors
8:00-8:30pm Jake Germany
9:00 - 10:00pm Eisley
10:30 - 11:30pm Max Bemis

Directions Heading South on Hwy 69 (Broadway) pass loop 323, pass Rice Road, get in right hand lane. Brookshires Grocery store is on the right. Turn right just after it (by Casa Ole Mexican Restaurant) into Times Square Shopping Center parking lot. Park, walk up center stairs, club is to the left upstairs. See BrewTones sign.

EISLEY STORE
We're getting huge search engine hits for "eisley store". Guess we're long over-due for on-line merch sales. Swag, swag, swag... when do we tour. The new store for this record cycle will be stellar... robust, teaming with designs. Already talking to the new person at wb. Finally, a bright light. Many bright lights. Hard to see. What's that... Wait... it's a train coming at me.

TROLLEYWOOD UPDATES
We're getting volumous hits on eisley.com... the journals in particular, which indicates we're attracting readers/lurkers more than members/ posters. Both are good. Even though Twitter and Facebook and Myspace pretty much cover boiler plate bullet points on everything these days, there are no plans to curb lengthy, blatheronical, pic-posty journals. T'would be a crime of inconsistency.

TrolleyWood will always be where we take off our shoes... fill in the gaps, knuck it out. Besides - there must be a place where we post fat new media on tours... and talk about it. Outside portals will drive some here. And here is where you will experience other-than-bullet-point shiz. Here is where you'll experience deeper shiz.

ROSEWOOD UPDATE
Eisley officially begins tracking LP-3 tomorrow morning! As per last update, they've in pre-production for approximately 6 new songs that are really coming along. The album is in non-stop mode. That implies that there are no more breaks, pauses, delays. Continuous work until they come out with record 3. So how are they going to get ready for this acoustic show Friday night? No clue. Wing it. Don't come!

For those of you who are knew, you can see 2 previous clips from early tracking here: Clip One Eis-Wood, Clip Two Eis-Wood or if you want a glimpse of what's coming, here are a few live clips of songs: Eisley Channel

WHAT
Things have been awesome. Only, I need a spectacular new word. I'm sick of the word amazing too. Things have been vlasternous (full of vlaster: meaning - great vlagness and vlasto-wasto). Gone are the dark dregs of crepuscule. Bright illumines have replaced what noctivigants attempted to steal. Here are images of little value. Crappyblackberries:

Everyone looks so wonderfully refreshed, happy as clams, and ready to go!

I cannot wait until you make the long haul here to Indianapolis *cough* *cough*.

Hey Boyd, I live about four hours from Tyler, what time would you suggest we leave so that tickets won't be sold out once we get to the venue?

Hope: I'd suggest being there before doors! I remember there being lines, but I haven't had to experience a Brewtones line in a while now.

I'd really suggest showing up maybe an hour early? If you're going to drive that far, especially. And if it looks deserted, maybe you can run across the street to Starbucks or something for a bit before checking back.

But like I said, get that time checked.

Planning to arrive 2 hours early.... it's hard for me to find the parking lot that brewtones is in and it helps to write down the streets past it so you can turn around again...

hey. i know... sorry to add stress for outoftowners. I hate it. Awkward position to be in. Who knows - we might not get crowded at all. Local scene kids seem to be into hardcore/emo clones... I find no fault in that. Plus...Eisley is from here... yawn Smile. If i were you and had the hrs to spare, I'd be there several hrs early and just check to see if a line develops. If you see it form, get in it.

We are talking about just having everyone sit down. It's acoustic and honestly, nobody past the first 3 layers up up-fronters can see anything unless that happens. Plus, that way, we can get more in the room I think... peaceful, chill... cool. thnx.

I agree, a sit-down show might be a good idea. Actually, I think it is.

I would most certainly be there... that is, if I didn't live across the country. Oh well. Break a leg, you guys! Also, can't wait for the new album (and merch store... I'm quite excited about finally getting an Eisley T-shirt)! I'm sure it's gonna be great. Very Happy
