UPDATE I am being told WB is having the song taken down... like nowish. Tuesday at 8:30 pacific. I still don't understand what went wrong. They'll fix it soon. Meanwhile, download this if you want the song:

Away We Go - non-chipmunk version

Nnote: it's not like this is an important song. It is important that it's heard at the normal speed it was recorded in (garage band). Leave a comment about whatever if you please and thank you. Also, my guess is - the file will get fixed and you'll be able to dl the correct version from iTunes, etc.

Digital Blunder means: we all heard the Amazon preview of the Fire Kite ep. One of the song clips was jacked... Sped up; talking Chipmonk speed. I emailed wb last week about it... Never heard back. A knowledgeable fan said this was common w/ Amazon and not to worry. I was wrong not to worry.

It's now for sale in iTunes and Amazon that way. !@&?!#%! I emailed WB just moments ago (angry-angry) from the road (iPhone) and got back responses with tons of cc's who are "on it". Meanwhile Alvin and Theadore are alive on line. AhaahhHHH!!!

If I don't get a solution soon, I'm just going to put a link up on this page and give it away. We are on the road so I have no FTP access right now. Getting close to El Paso... Destination Las Cruces.

Will keep you posted on this massive digital blunder. Apologiies.

If any UK resident figures out a way of getting this, lob some instructions up on here for the IT illiterate amongst us.

On a positive note if the above is the standard of songs discarded, this album should definately be a good 'un! Let's just hope it's not an effin iTunes only release!

Us UK fans are hard done by!

that version you provided sounds...better!

i didn't realize at the time that the problem was with the file itself. on a number of occasions, Amazon samples speed up, sounding like chipmunks.
it's annoying but usually clears up. sorry for the wrong-ish advice.

my file version i downloaded this morning from Amazon is...helium-sounding, to say the least! maybe you should make it the rare 'eisley sucked a bunch of balloons and recorded this song' version. you know, laugh about it.

though, of course, i'd be rather p.o.'ed about it if i were the boid. so hey...
enjoy the weather and be glad you're missing the flooding that's going on in East Texas!

Wow . . . again

I'm in the process of buying the EP from iTunes right now, and I'm excited beyond words.

Boyd, you have absolutely every reason so be infuriated by this mix up. . . if there was ever any doubt. A lot of work clearly goes into the creation of these fantastic tunes, and it's incredibly irritating that anyone allowed this to happen in the first place. Even the sped-up version of the song sounds impressive to me (I'm convinced that nothing can be done to make this band sound unpleasant), but that's obviously not the way that Away We Go was intended to be heard. I hope this issue is resolved in a timely fashion, and I hope that there's a sincere apology that comes along with it. Eisley deserves that at least.

Thanks for giving up the correct version of "Away We Go." I like it!

And I said this on the message board, but I LOVE the new studio songs! The layers with the vocals, the instrumentation changes here and there, and everything about them makes me excited for what's to come!

hearing the full version of away we go feels very old school eisley, like room noises era (so i guess most of that music is technically pre room noises era anyway) but with more vocally mature sherri, if that makes sense.
