The Wondrous Abyss of Expectation

If you've all abandon hope that there would ever be another Trolleywood post, cool. If you didn't care if there was ever another Trolleywood post, cool. My personal refrain is rooted in self-doubt; that is, I don't trust myself. Honesty is a great virtue I suppose - but since I am also the valve that controls the info-flow, my leaks are not likely going to be virtuous. I feel like I have my finger in the dam hole.

Good Tidings Best to just smile and talk about happy thoughts. There are more of those anyway. I can turn off the 'pissed off' switch easily enough; it's just - I fear the risk of coming off fake/plastic.

The tour is going great. Most all the shows are sold out. SA is bringing hordes of exuberant indie-punkers fans out. They're a very similar crowd... perhaps a bit more interactive. Their affinity w/ Say Anything's lyrics is monumental. Though their response to main support often sends a confusing signal at times...it's a very positive environment. Truthfully, SA's new record is very catchy... melodic; I get why they're so psyched. Still, Eisley certainly longs for the same affirmation they easily receive from their 'experiential' base. It's all good. This dynamic is what support is all about. You battle it out every night in hopes of winning over a few of the headliners fans. There's no poll or stat to indicate whether or not it's happening, but when you play for an audience of 2,500 (in Boston), you're almost guaranteed to turn some ears/win some hearts. Bottom line - Eisley is excited to be on the road and thankful to be on this amazing tour; Good times.

Anaheim EP pre-orders Don't get me started. You did. You got me started. I specifically said NOT to get me started. But - no worries... i just took some rage-b-gone tablets. Shi_, they just wore off. !@$#!%! (channeling Edward Munch). Happy thoughts. All I'm gonna say is: though a certain major, major, major, o-so-major label held back the shipment causing LA fans NOT to actually purchase and walk away with an ep, team eisley - via a supportive fan/friend in Boston - is mailing the ep's out this week. Wait, you didn't think WB would send did you? Nah. Anyway... fear not, you will receive them. Plenty have already said they received their order. I am now sleeping better and that's not saying much.

Trolley-Void I guess I'm going to start posting again. Tweeting is immediate and comes in frequent parcels but I can't get things off my chest that way. More to come.

To Maryland we go... tomorrow. For now, some shut eye. ~ bd

Glad to see you posting again Boyd! I was worried a WB exec who had read your "Boyd-rage" posts, took you out back to the Trolleywoodshed and made it hard for you to sit down and post. Laughing Meh. They're probably not paying that much attention.

Need more lengthy musings on the tour and pics or it didn't happen!

Gorgeous day in Brookhaven, PA. Wow. Not feeling the rage this morning. Rested up. Fall is bright, bright orange here. Insane. Maryland is only like 80 miles away. Easy street. We're heading South. Only a few more weeks of touring and we'll be back home for Thanksgiving. Weird that we'll be home and then have to head all the way back out to the West coast for a San Diego show and 2 Troubadour shows. THEN back across the desert again to get home.

Leave comments or else.

Awesome! I love your Trolleywood posts.. and as mentioned before, blogs make up for the lack of major content in Tweets and what-not. Keep up the good work, and keep the information leak coming!

I wish they were coming closer to my hometown.. perhaps for the LP 3 tour? Very Happy

Nice to see your posts. As much as I do love tweeeeter like you said, this leaves less room for the imagination and really lets you vent which is a-okay with me.

Boston was insane. I was so happy to be there and it was very nice to meet you and the band. I definitely get what you mean about Eisley longing for the same affirmation. They certainly deserve it but I'm glad you're trying to look at it positively. I mainly bought the ticket for them, but SA was def a bonus. Cannot wait to come to a headlining show next year poss? I seriously got lost in their set and the three new songs are so moving to me. AHhhh I could go on and on but Im trying not to.

Just keep trucking on. You and your family have such a dynamic that gives me so much hope and inspiration. *oozing cheese of all sorts* CANT WAIT FOR THE NEW ALBUM! Very Happy

peace&love
