UPDATED E-BLAST WITH LINKS TO EACH SHOW: http://bit.ly/dthpBr
Hi Trolleywooders. Seriously - it's Fall? Are you getting cold snaps; not here in Texas. In our dreams. Fall fail or not -- Eisley is going to be on the road soon. Guess we should talk about that; long awaited tour news, long awaited album release: it's enough to make us all pull our hair out. Hey, we could make a big wig...TrolleyWig. Hey remember that 70's song... I don't remember the name but the chorus was like: "Hollywoooood.... Hollywood Swingers". So, I just changed the lyrics to "Trolleywooooood... Trolleywood Singers." No, only in my mind. ok. well. Maybe 2 VIA packs in my 16oz. coffee cup was a bad idea. This is my blog. I say what I want. I don't care. I'm not following rules here.
OTR&TTWT - What is this tour about? Why tour. I hate question marks - don't make me use them. Basically the past 2 tours were planned for one (1) reason: Bands tour. Fishermen Fish, Painters Paint. We needed to get back on the road with or without a new record. If not for the MMMWTour, there would be no Over The Mountains and Through the Woods Tour. Without this tour, there will be no build for the next tour, etc. We simply have to connect with you guys... re-build continuity, get psyched for the new record... and for the one after that.
More apologies for delays. Most of them haven't been our fault but it's true - there has been much to maneuver around; everyone knows the backstory... lots of weaving in and out of personal affairs, colossal ceremonies such as multiple weddings (1 was double) and of course the industry crap.
Iit's like there's this tapestry hanging on the symbolic Eisley wall right now. I'm looking at it... it's all lumpy, dark with small shiny objects; it's textural; lots of pretty threads, broken heart charms, dirty tattered burlap, white lace, elastic garders, candle wax mixed with chunks of dried industry poop. It may not be as pretty or as classic as Carol's Tapestry (king) but... it's certainly as compelling; it's pretty... and sad... and dark and lovely. I think I just described Eisley's new record... except for the poop. We left that behind.
All that to say, touring must not cease. And... we've been saying it over and over: things are going so good. Good is here.
Support! From San Diego - check out "Ives The Band" - http://ivestheband.com. Watch the utube video on that page, listen to the wonderful, melodic, piano driven, Beatlesque rock. I think you're going to love them. Find them if you please and say hi on-line. I'm sure they'll have their newest record: "The Incredible Story of Mr. Birch" with them. So - they are - whatever - main support.
And in the opening slot - sibling rival: Christie DuPree http://www.myspace.com/christiedupreemusic accompanied by sibling rival - Collin DuPree. Hey, it wouldn't be fair to the US to only expose her live music to the Midwest. The whole country deserves this. Her new songs are sweet; so are her old ones but... you guys will really swoon over her cross between Stacy/Chauntelle vocals, her folksy, sultry, honest, vocal/writing style. Her performance is moving. Ok, so we're big fans. Any surprises? Christie will have music with her so save your quarters.
About the tour. umm... Eisley is touring. Expect some more of that wonderful, vibey, sirenous, long-overdue, live music so serenade your ears and hearts. I can say hearts because mine is going to break; I won't out with them so I won't get to hear them every night. Gotta mind the fort. I'll still be super plugged in - perhaps even moreso... on line and doing all the stuff i do.
So here's the schedule. I am so excited. Lots of shows in lots of markets... some new, some old. Previous MMMWT markets will not covered on this tour for the most part. What can we say. We'll route you guys back in on the next tour. Sincere apologies: AZ, NM and a few other markets not routed. It just wasn't possible. Btw - our agent is still working on a few dates so expect updates.

I posted any applicable age restricted venues on the front page. We avoided the best we could. Hundreds and hundreds of bands are touring right now. You can't always get the club you want/need. The smaller the venue, the more you play bars... the more bars, the more age restrictions you get. Some of the markets like Boston and NYC are all like this... it's just the turf. At least we have no 21+. Most are 16+... a few 18+'s.
Tickets - I posted links. Not all are on sale yet. Some are on sale but not on line. I'm tracking down promoters. Will update as I get them.
Please buy quickly. This tour doesn't have much time for promotion. We'd really appreciate that. Thanks.
