Zydeco. Birmingham. 10.15.04 nƒ

Sometimes you complain about things and later wish you wouldn't have
because you start to realize if you wouldn't have complained, you'd be
much cooler because you were wrong anyway...and somehow you knew
it while you were complaining.

Birmingham was worth the drive... All day we were thinking, "ok....there
might be like 3 people that have ever heard of Eisley who might come to
the show...". It was quite the opposite. I begin to wonder if maybe half of
the crowd was for Eisley. Seriously.

It was a tight little venue. I thought 300 max but the venue guys say that
paid attendance was about 700 total. It was so packed, Eisley couldn't get
back to the merch booth to sign and greet so they just stayed outside in
the back. Eventually, hords of people came back there and we had this
big party that lasted for way too long. Everyone was so nice.

But we were delayed... and now it's 4:40am; we're in a Ramada Inn in
Meridian....still 3 hours away from New Orleans. My alarm is set for 7:00.
I'd best climb in bed with Weston over there. Night.

Absolutely AMAZING
Just wanted to let you guys know, the show last night was amazing. Eisley is by far one of my favorite bands and this is the first time you've been anywhere near me. My friend and I went to the show last night and he'd never heard you and thought you were great. So incredibly talented, wish I'd had time to talk to after the show. The best concert I've been to, never seen that much talent on one stage before.

I saw a group of friends there and we were all singing along. Just wanted to thank you for coming here, it was Absolutely Amazing.

yeah from behind the stage i coud see a lot of people singing along.... the place was pretty darn crowded and there were bunches of peep wanting to meet the band afterwards. birmingham is a cool place , really beautiful, the zydeco is in a part of town called 5 points south , lots of stores ,coffee shops cool vintage viynal stores and really really friendly people, i had a great time , it was worth the drive , thanks boyd and eisley for being about the best people on the planet......and thanks as always kim for sharing them with us..............boyd ill have a cell the next time, the messages cracked me up..... maybe i should go to kinkos after all. oh one more thing about birmingham,,, the sidewalks are kind of crooked and i ended up a casualty darn road burn...
