Zydeco. Birmingham. 10.15.04 nƒ

Sometimes you complain about things and later wish you wouldn't have
because you start to realize if you wouldn't have complained, you'd be
much cooler because you were wrong anyway...and somehow you knew
it while you were complaining.

Birmingham was worth the drive... All day we were thinking, "ok....there
might be like 3 people that have ever heard of Eisley who might come to
the show...". It was quite the opposite. I begin to wonder if maybe half of
the crowd was for Eisley. Seriously.

It was a tight little venue. I thought 300 max but the venue guys say that
paid attendance was about 700 total. It was so packed, Eisley couldn't get
back to the merch booth to sign and greet so they just stayed outside in
the back. Eventually, hords of people came back there and we had this
big party that lasted for way too long. Everyone was so nice.

But we were delayed... and now it's 4:40am; we're in a Ramada Inn in
Meridian....still 3 hours away from New Orleans. My alarm is set for 7:00.
I'd best climb in bed with Weston over there. Night.

Yeah - Zydeco is a nice little venue. I have friends that play there from time to time...

Glad you guys enjoyed the 'ham. It is my hometown.

Thank you so very much for making a stop in Birmingham.

Not only was it an amazing show, but talking to the whole band afterwards was quite grand.

wow, i've been busy since this show.

when i heard you guys were playing in ALABAMA i had to go, seeing as how i missed you in Atlanta the last time 'round. can i say . . . AMAZING! i told my friends (who mostly came for Snow Patrol) all about you on the way up, and during the show the smiles and nods i saw showed me that you all had worked your magic.

great talking to you, Chauntelle (i'm gonna get you some Pixies CDs) and Jonathan (it was my narcolepsy!). sorry i didn't get to chat with the rest of you guys more - next time in Atlanta for sure!
