![]() Posted: Thu Jan 15, 2004 3:31 pm ![]() Angry at Rolling Stone ripping on Eisely for being imaginative, I felt it was high time to forumlate an antibiotic for us... More imaginative music: http://www.eisley.com/test/TheyAll_KUTZ.mp3 This was recorded in Austin the day the band did their instore at Waterloo. It's just an unedited, live, acoustic performance using a Rhodes, a bass, an acoustic guitar and a tambourine. And just so you'll know, since the RS article came out, web hits have nearly doubled... it's 9:30pm central time and eisely.com has had 1,340 hits today. 15,388 in 2 weeks. Also, I moistened up the voc's on this lo-fi, bedroom recording: http://www.eisley.com/test/LostatSeawet.mov http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/cd/review.asp?aid=2048009&cf=20464 90 _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. ahh shucks; but, I swear I'm not doing this to get pat's on the back...(I'm doin this to get "Pat back".) ![]() (just kidding sorta) No. I do this stuff because, if I were a fan, which I totally am, I would want somebody to do this stuff for me. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. boyd wrote: No. I do this stuff because, if I were a fan, which I totally am, I would want somebody - an insider, to do this stuff for me. that's just a hard fact to get over... i mean it's refreshing to see someone running a band website with that attitude.... most of them dont care... have you read the pitchforkmedia article where the kid joined the avril lavigne e-team for a week and they pretty much didnt do anything for all these teens that were suckered in to promotion work for avril lavigne. they were promised exclusive mp3s and stuff, and i heard the most they got was like a voice greeting from avril lavigne saying how they were helping record sales.... i don't know it was a well done, amusing article but it was sad too, because it shows how artists and the people that work with them are really losing touch with the fans... they build a fanbase when they know the artist is the next big thing, but after you've bought the album and they've got your money in their pocket, they run... so i just think its so nice that you do these things. oh, and my thing on rollingstone worked finally. im excusememister. |
