I'm picking up on Mike's post. I thought it was inspiring. It's easy. I just did it. http://www.mtv.com/onair/trl/vote/ At the bottom of the page, you fill in your own name. See pic below. We might as well do it, right?
Mike's post: Quote: I'm sure everone on here already knows this. But, just in case
you don't know. Everybody should be going to MTVs site and voting for Eisley on the TRL section .... even though they aren't listed yet we can all get them there together by voting for Eisley's "Marvelous Things" video repeatedly ... all you have to do is scroll down to the botom select other and type in the info!!! It doesn't take long, if you love this band as much as me then make it your mission along with me to get them there!!! For those of you who complain about bands going mainstream and stuff like that, this section is for you. Eisley making it on MTV is not about making the dough or being the most popular band. It's about exposing more people to their beautiful music. If they are anything like myself then the way they think is, I'm happy as long as I get to play music for others to enjoy and relate to and the more people I get to play it for the happier I am!!! .... GAH!!! I know ... I talk too much ... sorry ... lol _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Good stuff!! I vote over and over and over and over again while I sit on-line chatting for endless hours. Persistence is the key to getting anything done!! With as many people as there are on this forum there is a very good chance of atleast showing MTV that there are enough fans for Eisley to put them in the spotlight!! thnx Boyd - Mike |

BN, I was at Barnes and Noble (weird coincidence - BN and B&N...anyway) and I saw Q magazine, apparently some British music mag. They had a huge section on Kurt Cobain and Nirvana...lots of articles, pictures, etc. Well one of the articles said that Nirvana paved the way for Britney and her pop goons to take over MTV The idea was that the "angst" music was too much for music execs to deal with, so they turned to fluff...and silicone _________________ For gooey nuggets of aimless rambling: http://www.myspace.com/malfaiteur I wrote your name in red chalk on the sidewalk in front of my house. |

poorwriter, how do you like the new iron and wine album? what do you think of the female vocals? i haven't figured out yet if i don't like them or if they just "pop me out of the music" because i'm not use to them being there. i'm gonna vote for eisey. |
