well i wasnt gonna bother starting a new thread, but i thought since everyone else does it should warrant another yes another new thread.

my ep arrived this morning, first of all i was horrified at the amount of packaging, the box it was in could have fitted about 50-100 ep's in. anyway it arrived in one pice so that was ok, plus it must have had a dry-suit on cos it wasnt wet from swimming across the pond.

the video is good, i like it. was that all Boyds own work? cool stuff.

i know most people are saying this sounds totally different from ep2, i agree. but i dont thinks a bad thing. if anything it'll probably make me look more forward to hearing them live, i think its difficult to totally recreate the live sound on cd and despite the raw unproduced feeling of ep2, i doubt it compares to them live, so why bother putting those songs on laughing city ep. no i think its fantastic. i like it when i go to a gig and what i hear is not just a replay of whats on the cd, i get the feeling that Eisley will please me live. so yes the songs sound different, i dont think thats bad at all.the recorded version of treetops is great. i cant wait for a full cd, or just to hear songs i havent heard before (hint please play a new song at T or V festivals, please, please? Smile ).
role on 5 weeks' time!!

well put. and OH they will. you don't have a clue... i'm continually amazed at their live show. now with a major tour under their belt, i'm sure they'll be more confident than ever for the T and V. let us know.

yep it arrived safe and sound. the fact that it was packaged in the biggest box, ever, meant that no harm was caused during its transportation. but i have mine, so go me more Wink

oh and its really good, despite some of the pessimistic attitudes when it was first released. actually thinking back to those comments and listening to the cd now i'm quite suprised, yeah it is different but come on its not bad is it?
