I don't get it. I've seen this group in concert and, to be forthright, they're lousy. I also don't understand how you could consciously ride the coattails of the christian scene in Texas, and then turn your back from the faith when you get 'discovered.' Bottomline, your music blends in nicely with all the other meaningless marketing ploys of the day. And the fact that you can turn your back on your own faith just begs to ask; do you really believe in any of the vomit that poors from your mouth on stage? I highly doubt you know the DuPree family, much less have met them. Therefore you're in no place to cast judgment on their spiritual walks. Even if you did know them, it still wouldn't be your place. God is judge. That being said, I think it's a pretty narrow perspective to say that just because they didn't sign to some "Christian" label, aren't on tour with "Christian" bands, or whatnot.. that they have turned on their faith. I mean, come on! I don't know the DuPree family very well, myself, just from emails and this forum.. and I've seen nothing indicating they've turned on their faith. If you're really that concerned (doubtful), pray for them. Even better, maybe talk to them directly. They're all on this forum, easy to contact, and open to talk with people. Don't compare them to Judas, and don't talk smack about them. It should make you feel better, they thanked God in their EP liner notes and [sarcasm]everyone knows this is the true litmus test of an artist's Christianity[/sarcasm] Good day. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |

Hi, my name is Jeremiah. I live in Salem Oregon. I am currently going to school full time to be an xray tech, or Radiologic Technologist if you want to be a pest. I am 25 but still feel young, well, I look it too. I saw Eisley open for Coldplay like most people. The weird thing is that I was so impressed by Damien Rice that it is now 2 months later but I still have Tree Tops in my head and I thought, what was the name of that Girl Band? Then I remembered and looked it up. That was a couple days ago. I should say I love the songs, bought the CD (it's on the way), and downloaded some songs to satisfy me while I am waiting for the CD. I could not find Tree Tops on the download. Anyway, I have Chauntelle on my computer screen and I think she is just lovely. I wish I would have met the band cause they came out and I was very close and missed my chance.Since I have family in Texas and want to catch another show very badly, I am optimistic I will meet them when I take a trip down there to see Eisley, ur, my family. I am telling everyone about the band because everyone needs good music in their life and this is very good music in my opinion. Sorry it is long and not paragraphic. _________________ Jeremiah, the xray student. |

Hello all, another Calgarian Eisley fan here. Saw them open for Coldplay, and fell in love. I couldn't have picked a better opening band. But I'm hoping the next time they come through here, they're the main act!! Other favorite bands are The Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, and Radiohead. I have the Laughing City EP, and look forward to new music in the future. Oh, and I'll be buying a shirt and CD A.S.A.P. _________________ genie let out of the bottle, it is now the witching hour murderers you're murderers, we are not the same as you funny HAHA, funny how when the walls bend with your breathing they will suck you down to the otherside, to the shadows blue and red your alarm bells should be ringing, this is the gloaming |

in reply to rockin, i would ask him/her to look at the song "Over the Mountains We Go" very clearly, (at least to me), the song is about going to heaven, maybe the rapture. very reminiscent of the old hymns. i don't understand people who decide to play the judge. _________________ It is me, the lost Lost Boy.
