It just came to me... a blanket smattering of disclaimers! 1. I won't know you even if I should but I'll feel very bad about it so please forgive me in advance. 2. I will act like i remember your Forum screen name and avatar, but do everything you can to make me remember. post pictures now? 3. I will be running around with my head cut off holding a flapping chicken... darting about, in-and-out of conversations/spaces/time continuums. Please don't be offended. Just when you think I'm focused, I'll have to dart off to load out or some other tour management duty. 4. I love "yes people" and am one, but the answer is no. (video cameras and such - not because I'm a mean guy...because label, management, headliner and venue) If they'll let you bring cameras...do it! 6. I'm dorkier than you think. (ok so you already figured that one out) 7. I never act like a big shot and will hate you if you don't say hello. 8. I can't get anyone in under 21 if it's one of those clubs. No way. 9. I'm not important and you probably won't see me and that's good. 10. The band loves you guys so if you can't get their attention or there's a crowd...just wait. But never think to yourself: "did you see the way she just looked at me?" 11. If something goes wrong technically at the show, it's not my fault. Snow Patrol sound engineers are running sound; it may take a few shows to blow out the unknowns and get them up to speed on Eisley's sound. Wherever there's gear and people, people and gear mess up. 12. Eisley WILL meet and greet right after every show (their, not Snow Patrol's) barring some unforseen problem I can't imagine. 13. They do get tired and touring is relentless, so they won't stay out next to the merch booth all night. They'll head back to the dressing rooms, but sometimes pop out to hear the headliner and yak a bit. 14. I've been advised not to accept cd's since some bands have been sued if they write a song and later, some kid says "you copied my song". But, I pretty much think that's stupid. Still, it's really hard to hang onto cd's and they stack up...and how are we supposed to listen to every cd when we have an ipod full of our favorite music just like you do? hmm, have to think about this one. 15. It's going to be a great tour and I can almost promise you'll love the band...even more. At least I hope so. I brought my camera to the Brand New tour at The Metro, and I sure am planning on bringing it this year as well. All those disclaimers pretty much covered everything I was going to do, or expected you to do Boyd. You mean I can't make a bootleg of any of the shows? Your taking all the fun out of the shows, who cares if I wrote Lost at Sea? No, really I was going to bring you a cd of all the songs I wrote for Eisley.
