oops... I voted for number 5 (4th not counting the "make you own" list). Just to set the record straight... P. _________________ "Enjoy Every Sandwich" - Warren Zevon "What's Life Without Music?" - The Mermaid Purse www.myspace.com/ptah |

I must say Boyd, that whatever is put onto the ep, I'm gonna buy it. I haven't heard many of those songs, but I enjoy what I've heard thus far. It would be cool to see ones I've heard and new ones on the ep, but hey, I trust the band to make quality music, so any of them will be good. _________________ signed: Omygosh, Emperor of Shmo **the turtle stamp of approval** www.soulstrum.com |

I will add a few songs to my initial post - at the end...TODAY. Some of you haven't heard them...other (texans) have. The list might be shaping toward: Mr. Pine, (??mystery song by Aaron Sprinkle?), Sea King, Sun Feet. But that's just the hunch this hour. Could all change. I'll post Marvelous Things video and live show of They All Surrounded Me. bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. personally.. I'd really like to hear trollywood queen of leaves they all surrounded me marvelous things I don't remember what memories sounded like well enough to be able to suggest it. gosh. This is actually kinda difficult, cos I really like silver bugs, and sunfeet. I think I'll stick with the list above though. _________________ are you a member of the slaves to their members? |

well, all of these will end up on the full length. But Dan wants to record Mr Pine and Sea King for sure...plus one more. And Aaron will probably record on more...or we could remix Mike Mogus's "Sun Feet" to add to it... This will alll come together soon. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. ok im repeating a song.. will be rejected.. but here's my pic Telescope Eyes (like full 5 minute version.. but remixed.. there's so much potential for that elusive instrumental middle part, I always want it to be longer.. like just let eisley jam there for a while ) Sea King Sun Feet Mr. Pine. Please dont place mr pine as track 1. It's my favorite of the Eisley songs and track 1 on cds always plays when I put the disk in.. the first few notes.. every time. Mr. Pine is my chocoloate of the Eisley smorgasbord. I cant be hearing it all the time. _________________ "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed." prov 16:3 |

Definately the 2nd choice, in this order: 1. Marvelous Things 2. Sea King 3. Sun Feet 4. Mister Pine Memories and Trolley Wood are still under development.....too soon for those. They All Surrounded Me is powerful, but so is Marvelous Things, and they both can't sit together on a 4 song EP. Silver Bugs, Blackened Crown, and a revamped Becoming You need to be on the full length, along with Wings and Windows. I promised a certain Eisley band member i would never mention a particular older song again....so i won't mention it by name, but, they need to re-record it!!! grrrrr. It should be on this 4 song EP. You know which one i'm talking about. |

It's still shaking out, and it depends on how it all goes, but it's now looking like: Marvelous Things Trolley Wood Mr. Pine Sea King (not in any order)... I sure wish Sun Feet was in there, but...keep in mind, this is just another eisley snapshot...a small collection of songs to be enjoyed as they're working on delivering their first full length. In our minds, it seems like nobody has ever really heard Mr. Pine be- cause it's never been released... that version on the web was recorded in Midlake's house the day after they bought their first recording stuff... nobody really knew how to run it yet. Do people feel like it's finished enough? Good enough just to let it go and not redo it? Just curious what some of you die-hards feel. I'm sure they'll record it anyway...new fans won't have been to their site. What does everyone think about this list? (the one I already submitted) How about order? Name of the project? (title cut - which one?) We spend a great deal of time with Dan yesterday, which was nice. Stayed up til' 3:30am talking out on the deck. But, as you know, I'll document and journal all of this...I've already started shooting some video. Very little, but... I'll check in every once in a while during the day. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. That's pretty close to the order I would choose.....I'd like "They All Surrounded Me" in there, but I can wait. Perhaps Boyd can give us a live version to tide us over? The order I'd like is: Sea King Mr. Pine Marvelous Things Trolley Wood Also, I'd pick an EP name that isn't a song title. That was already done with Laughing City. Maybe something about nature, since the songs are about Trees and Seas and other Marvelous Things. |

I feel, that since Mr. Pine hasnt "been released" yet, the midlake version should go on the ep.. and then the rerecorded version on the full length. The midlake one is quite amazing and sounds very nice. Midlake gets credits on the ep and that would be proper i think. I would enjoy that very much since I dont listen to ep2 much.. keeping it in pristine condition. I liked Mr. Pine as track 3. Someone places the ep in.. and hears two very awesome amazing songs. And then mr pine comes on and its like WOW! How many eps blow you away with the first two songs.. and then blow you away farther again with the third song.. not even making it to the fourth yet? See it's the blow-away factor there. _________________ "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed." prov 16:3 |
