would it be alright if i were to burn about 3 or 4 songs or something and hand them out to people for them to enjoy/get a taste of eisley and perhaps, hopefully get others interested into their music and perhaps purchase Room Noises?
i'd put them in those cd sleeves that usually come in white with that clear circle on the front. i just wanted permission before doing it. oh, i wouldn't put anything from Laughing City or Marvelous Things since i remember boyd saying something that WB/Reprise wouldn't be cool with that, but the stuff on the website (eisley.com) would be cool.

As I recall, Boyd has ever been very levelheaded about the distribution of songs on the website. The ones on the Songs section "belong" to Eisley, after all, and that's why they're there to begin with. Of course, it's the official word that counts, but my guess is there'd be no problem.

Make sure you get "Blackened Crown" on that sampler. People who aren't familiar with the band tend to like that one.

ok, so here's the tracklist i put together...

1. Blackened Crown
2. Head Against the Sky
3. Laughing City
4. Telescope Eyes
5. Mister Pine
6. Dream For Me
7. Over the Mountains We Go

judging from that thread about the emerge songs, i won't be able to put the new g-g-g-golly sandra on there. Sad eh, well, i wasn't able to put anything from marvelous things or laughing city. but i'm sure out of the 50 or so samplers i'm making, a couple of them will get into them.

But they appeared originally on EP2, and now reside in the "Songs" section of Eisley.com. These are pre-Laughing City recordings.
