Post subject: The New Year's Show Thread (With embarrassing speech!)
Posted: Thu Dec 30, 2004 10:19 pm Hey, I want to start this now. I feel so bad for the people who aren't getting to go to this, but I hope to include them in on everything they can be. At least we can keep them up on all that happened so they at least know what went on. That said, I'm so freaking stoked, I can't even sleep. ha. I need to, though. In less than four hours, I'm going to get up and start getting ready for a long, long day. Heck, all this activity will keep me busy well into next year. (Last bad forum joke of the year.) If anyone sees me, or even thinks they recognize me, PLEASE say hi. This is part of the whole Eisley magic thing. It's not just that they make great music, or that they're downright cool people, it's the community they foster just being what they are. It's awesome. I should be putting on my "I'm too cool to care" face because I know the band and I have to be all "normal" about it, but I think that's such crap anyway. I never want to try to be what I'm not. Eisley aren't perfect people, they don't make the world go around, but they are decent people who try to do good things with what they are capable of doing, and those kinds of people make everything great. The same goes for this community. It's not perfect, but hey, it's given me more real friends than I can count. 22-plus years of life before this forum couldn't do that. And I've turned a little start to a New Year's show thread into a cheesy and embarrassing speech. But I'm tired, and probably out of it. But I mean every word, so I'm going to post it. Thanks for making life great, everyone. Happy New Year. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I'll say hi to you, Jamie. I'm pretty excited myself. But I am bummed about one thing. It's back to work on Monday. -sigh- But no need to think about that now. I'll be leaving for Dallas in about half an hour or so. Mmmm... 4.5 hours on the road. I shouldn't complain. Some people are traveling from out of state. Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And days of auld lang syne? And days of auld lang syne, my dear, And days of auld lang syne. Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And days of auld lang syne? We twa hae run aboot the braes And pu'd the gowans fine. We've wandered mony a weary foot, Sin' auld lang syne. Sin' auld lang syne, my dear, Sin' auld lang syne, We've wandered mony a weary foot, Sin' auld ang syne. We twa hae sported i' the burn, From morning sun till dine, But seas between us braid hae roared Sin' auld lang syne. Sin' auld lang syne, my dear, Sin' auld lang syne. But seas between us braid hae roared Sin' auld lang syne. And ther's a hand, my trusty friend, And gie's a hand o' thine; We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet, For auld lang syne. For auld lang syne, my dear, For auld lang syne, We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet, For auld lang syne. |

Lunatics! I-45 was pretty clear, although some state troopers were patrolling in between the cities. Jamie, remind me to give you your money. Chad, I'm going to have to crash at your place. Just letting you know. Is everyone going to Good Records for Pilotdrift? When does that start? _________________ myspace last.fm |

You all enjoy the show. I love all three bands, so needless to say, it'll be a memorable concert...wish I could be there. As a favor to me, get there early and check out Pilotdrift and Radiant*. I know a lot of you already know about these bands, but for those who don't, get there when the doors open and enjoy the sounds of these two bands - I think you'll be happy you did. I'll be looking for reviews of the entire night from everyone, so try and remember it all, ok? - thanks. Happy 2005!! I'll be thinking about all of you who aren't able to come out tonight. I'll blow you all kisses at midnight and hopefully you'll receive them as a shiver down your back. Happy New Years everyone, I'll see some of you tonight! _________________ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WWW.MODICOMUSIC.COM www.myspace.com/modico "even on the drearest day a loving hand won't turn away God's greatest gift to man how sweet is love" http://www.myspace.com/ambientgecko - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |

It's sad. Or...I'm sad because I'm not that far from the New Year's Show, but I won't be able to go. Grr... Darn. _________________ Shay LeAnn/potatomonstahh/We Are The We www.facebook.com/shay.tidwell |
