For lazy people:

Mae(Desh and Kristen are the interviewers):
Quote:
Kristin: Have you heard the band Eisley?

All three: Yeah.

Kristin: What are your thoughts on the band and their music and what you know of them?

Zach: Do they have a full-length album?

Desh: Yeah, it comes out next week.

Rob: I have the EP.

Dave: What label is it on?

Rob: Reprise.

Dave: Oh is it major?

Rob: Yeah.

Desh: Have you seen them live?

Dave: No, no, no.

Zach: I’ve seen, someone had a video playing on their MySpace.

Dave: Well, we found out about Eisley through Copeland originally. I think the lead singer of Copeland is really good friends with, either the band in general or some of the members. But I didn’t even hear my first Eisley song until, Aaron Sprinkle, who did a demo version of one of the songs that’s actually going to be on The Everglow, actually recorded at least one song for Eisley. I remember being in the studio and he was like, ‘You need to check out this Eisley song.’ And I remember hearing her voice, it’s so pure and it’s so beautiful. I remember hearing, especially with headphones, where you can just hear the full texture of her voice.

Desh: Maybe there could be future tour plans or something.

Dave: Oh, yeah, yeah, we’d love to. [Other guys agreeing at the same time.] We’d love to tour with a band like that.

Zach: Well, put in a good word for us.

Copeland (Kristen is the interviewer):
Quote:
Kristin: Have you heard the band Eisley?

Bryan: Oh yeah.

Kristin: What are your thoughts on the band and their music?

Bryan: Their new cd comes out next Tuesday, right? So I’m looking forward to it.

Kristin: Did you pre-order it?

Bryan: No, I’ll probably just go pick it up. I like going to the store. It’s very seldom that I purchase music, I’m just kind of a music snob in a sense. And it takes a lot to impress me. I don’t really even download music, I’m very selective about what I listen to. I like going to the store to get it. But I will be buying it.

Kristin: So, saying that you’re going to go buy Eisley is saying a lot, right?

Bryan: It is, it is.

Eisley and Mae touring together, that would be my dream come true, they would just need to both open for Jimmy Eat World and that would be the greatest concert for me.

Haha, I love the way that's set up. I guess the interviewer really wants people to talk about Eisley?

That's awesome. I love mae. Dont know much about the other band though. It would be a very good thing if they toured together. But I think Eisley will probably want a long rest after this tour...They've been nonstop record-tour-record-interview-tour-repeat for a good while. They're pooped out I'm sure.

A friend and I had a conversation about this the other day. He was complaining saying that they needed to record a new album and I tried to explain that they just got done with this one and they're still touring and promoting it kind of. If they just came home and immediately started a new album, I think that the strain and stress would show in the music. It wouldn't have that laid-back and happy feeling to it I don't think. That would suck. I think the music they make is perfect how it is.

I dont like Mae that much.. I've seen them live twice and that guitarist that stands on the left side of the stage (as you're looking at it from teh front) scares the heck out of me with all his twisting and playing with his eyes closed. If they toured with Eisley I would hope Eisley played a long set but played first so I wouldnt hafta stay for Mae and get scared again lol.

Copeland is one of my favorite bands. I like Mae, too, but not as much as Copeland (or Eisley).

I think that's rad. Very Happy
