wow... Thanks MTV2 for letting us know. I've been talking with the producer by email for months now since they did the interview in LA - but I didn't know when it was going to run. dern. But, we can't get it here anyway. (mtv2)

Was it any good? I think it was just supposed to be like 2 minutes long, right? details, details...

I went to Mtv2.com and found out the air dates for the "you hear it first" show. They are as follows: Sun 10/12 9:00 PM, Tue 10/14 3:30 AM, Thu 10/16 2:30 AM, Thu 10/16 8:30 AM, Sat 10/18 7:30 AM, Mon 10/20 2:00 AM. I'm unsure though if these will be the same show that featured the band, but if I had to guess, I'd say some will be the same.

I just did a similar search on mtv.com and got these air dates: Thu 10/16
8:00 PM, Sat 10/18 6:00 AM. But it didn't give any information about which bands will be featured.

Thanks ever.a.surprise. That would be amazing. Nov. 3rd - just 3 shows
into the tour. We could watch in on our....our....wait, we don't have a vcr.
But, we can, YEAh, in the hotel.

But I just emailed Ryan, the producer of that spot. (a real swell
guy...asked many questions about Coldplay...and is good friends with
Chris from Dashboard, etc) He said they'd send us a dvd or QT or video
or whatever of the spot. Still, I don't know when we'll get that either.

I asked him about when or if it will run again, so I should find out
something tomorrow or early week. If I do, I'll post it and send out an
eblast so everyone can know. (though we can't get it here, like I said)

Boyd

Chris from Dashboard is my number one idol. Tied with James Hetfield of Metallica though.

Tonight at 3:30 in the morning? I guess I can watch it that late. Hopefully it'll be the right one. Even if it's only like 2 minutes, it'll be cool.

Here's the e-mail I got today from the MTV guy...that sorta explains it all.

Quote:
Hello Boyd!

Eisley was in fact included during an episode of the "You Hear it First" show that airs on MTV (which is great - you never know if you'll get that!), but the Daily News piece still hasn't aired!! As of right now, it's scheduled to hit the airwaves on Oct. 28. I'll try to let you know if that changes, and get you specific airtimes, but for now you could tell fans to watch MTV News at ten to the hour, every  hour, that day. Also, there'll be a longer piece about the band on MTVNews.com that will go up to coincide with the daily news piece airing.

Hope all is well!!

-R

So...if that makes sense...right? I'm too sleepy to figure much out.
This is from producer - Ryan. As I said, a very cool guy. Loves Eisley.
That's why he's pushed it on other slots and programs. I guess we'll see
it eventually, ehh?

Sorta surreal. ok...this little band from Tyler is on mtv...but it doesn't
seem real. and...what is real? Like, how many people actually see that?
150? 500? more? am I stupid? what does it all mean? tilt. I think it
justmeans a small band is being seen on tv - like, here's a new band, etc.

ok. now I feel smarter. I figur'd it out.
