who's doing this? since you know the Coldplay guys, and their manager is your manager, i wonder if there's any way you could get the guy who did Trouble and Don't Panic.......i really like those..........i have to also say that i enjoyed the Telescope Eyes one that Boyd did very much......i guess a video like that would "introduce" the band better.........any details yet? _________________ I am Torgo. there are two versions of trouble...one is where Chris sits in the dark singing, the other is the cool fantasy wierd one that I think is being refered to. I don't care too much for the first one....but I agree that the fantasy type one is awesome. I think a video like that would definetely be fitting for eisley....though who am I to say such things _________________ If you wanna go on a picnic, I'll bring the watermelon. |

But it just sucked me in and I bought Parachutes shortly after seeing it that first time. Uh oh... this is in eisleyBlog. Uhhh... Eisley rocks! Coldplay's video producer is high dollar...but amazing. This is a low budget introduction into the industry... like the ep's. Creative/affordable. We'll find out soon. They have many scripts (concepts) from producer director dudes already. I hear one in particular is amazing. Will shoot in LA while on tour. And, my stuff is just hack. I am hackman. But, you guys will soon be the recipiants of a whole new era of my hack-toids. I will rain down... rain down... rain down on you ... from the website... from the website... As I've told you; when Lucas Mann gets the new WB web portal for dynamic media/street team/data base up and running, I'll up and run. (rain). This is my vow... I will videotape like a fool and make available foolish amounts of footage in the form of downloadable clips. So, everyone get QuickTime player because I'm an Apple die hard and don't want to mess with the other formats. love boyd. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. but boyd you forget even if you are a hack you are still the master hack. and your hackness is much admired by all us sub-hacks. and your QT videos will one day be compiled onto ultimate platinum uber expensive DVD collectible box sets that we (or at least i) will buy multiple copies of and have as heirlooms in our families. yes indeed. edit: and if/when a street team happens sign me up i volunteer. it sounds like a gang and being a teenager i long for the acceptance being in a gang brings.... i am a deviant youth! but i like kittens and poetry... so you needn't fear me... |

I think I can honestly say that no, no one has ever told me that. But then, there's a first time for everything, isn't there? *goes to look in a mirror and adjust the light* _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I think the trouble fantasy vibe would work well for Eisley, like all of Stacy and Sherri's art just dancing around them for a couple minutes with those weird lighting effects ... but coldplay did trouble after they got big, I think Eisley needs some type of Shiver or Yellow (a simple video with a band and singing) before they can pull off a big video ... And about favorite videos, what about the Scientist? And you know just burning a couple vcds could elimintate the need for the DVD burner, of course that's only opinion ... |

postmoderndebris. good point/s. it's all new and strange. I just know that nobody wants some cheesy performance video that says nothing about the band's unique culture - persona - vibe. Surely some performance clips will be a part of the first video. The scientist is another great example of taking a simple concept, building in a secondary device - time reversal...or story telling in reverse - for a powerful experience. A truly great video. Eisley video - scary. After a few, I suppose everyone will have a feel for the mistakes on the first few video's - like everything else in life. I think it's great timing, don't you think? MTV is showing interest - building awareness with the shpiel on now... who knows. It's a long shot that they'd pick it up... if we get lucky, MAYBE mtv-2. But overall, it's just....a video. Whatever happens, happens. Hot Hot Heat spent very little money (won't disclose amount) on that video that got on mtv..or mtv2. It help break the band and helped them sell records. Not sure name of song. btw. I thought they sounded great on Letterman last night. Not a huge fan of the style - but, they're a good band. Very tight. They're one of Craig Aaronson's bands (of which eisley's A&R) longwindedbuffoon _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Luckily, MTV isn't the only route to success, but I think Eisley has a shot ... but what do I know? Hot Hot Heat is so catchy. It's addictive stuff, really. I can't wait to see what the video looks like. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
