It is indeed a great name. A stroke of genius, really; catchy and memorable, and only two syllables, and everybody knows it due to the whole "Mos Eisley" things... _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Yeah, they got it from Moss Eisley. But because of George Lucas's "Mos Eisley" in Star Wars, they decided to shorten it to Eisley. I personally like Moss Eisley better. _________________ "What's with these homies dissing my girl?" - Weezer "I think I know I mean a yes but it's all wrong, that is I think I disagree." - Beatles My Livejournal |

go look at theantirider's post....the MTV thing is on the forum now. http://www.endecision.com/blogpics/eisleyonmtv.mov They asked eisley about it. btw. everyone was glad to see mosseisley go. Eisley is way better. I remember the eve they decided - under much pressure. That' was an intense 15 minutes. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Speaking as a design dude ... the Non-Moss logos and such look better because of the simplicity, too. I love the one where all the letters are staggared ... or the baseline is shifted ... whatever. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

i kinda liked the prefixory moss... it just seemed to make it sound more naturey. i mean no bands i listened were named after undergrowth before and i love undergrowth. its one of my favorite things. i can't complain about the name change though. eisley is much catchier. albeit not as "green"... |

were mosseisley advised to change their name? just wondering given the 'potential coutcase' things. that band that plays around here called mos eisley still have the same name and they havent been locked up, not yet anyway cos i'm possibly seeing them on monday. _________________ "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there." - Charles Darwin (legend) |

Well Stephen,...when I talked to George...he was going on and on and talking about his attorneys and "blah, blah, blah"...and I just said, "George shut-up and....talk to the hand" and he was like, "no...my attorney's will take you out Mr. B." and I was like, "Oh NO THEY WON'T mr. george "chewbaca" lukas...." and he started swinging wildly and I ducked...and he hit Chauntelle; (Woah, nobody hit's Chauntelle, right?) So I rammed him head-long with a full force neck punch... THUDK! and ole George just started spinning around and spewing and spitting and said, "UNCLE!! I GIVE, I GIVE!...THEY CAN NAME THEIR STUPID KID BAND MOSSEISLEY!!" but I just looked at his pathetic self, lying there...and said, "you can take your MOSS and shuv it, George". Then turning, I calmly said, "Come on Chauntelle (who had a black eye and messy hair), let's go." And on the way out, I heard him mutter something like..."but..but...do you want to be in the movies? I take it back...I... I... sLaM!!! And...well, that's how it happened. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead.
