Hey, this thread might actually be helpful to the band. Here's what Sherri said in a recent interview:

MPL: There have been rumors floating about that the second single will "Marvelous Things" but I haven't really heard any confirmation on it, is there a final decision on the second single, or is that something still being discussed?

Sherri: Not yet, we'll probably talk about it pretty soon here, but since the album just came out we haven't really even done promotion for "Telescope Eyes" yet other than make a video, so the second single hasn't been discussed really.

Well, I'd imagine that if Boyd is paying attention, like he has been, then it must be for good reason. I just can't figure out why so many people think Plenty of Paper would be good for a single. It is a nice song, but the beginning is so jarring.

If you really think about it, none of their songs are going to be guaranteed radio hits, that's just not what Eisley is about. No matter how hard fans try to push favorite songs, Eisley is just so incredibly new to the radio community. I wanted to call and request the song, but i couldn't decide what radio station in Iowa would actually play Eisley. Whatever single is chosen, it's going to be a shot in the dark.

Brightly Wound makes me think of a special time and place in my life that just felt right. Everyone wants to feel like that agian right?

Just Like We Do brought a tear to my eye. What an impressive song. I think the songwriting here would floor critics.

Those were the two songs that struck me when i listened to Room Noises the first time.

But in the end I think Boyd and the Band need to follow their hearts and not their brains. Pick it, say some prayers, and give the rest to God

I'd have to choose either Golly Sandra or My Lovely. Golly Sandra is so upbeat and catchy, the type of song that gets stuck in your head three days after you hear it. While My Lovely is just so beautifully done it would entrance anyone.

It's just so difficult to decide what "the masses" will like best..they're a fickle lot.

I am going with Golly Sandra, because it is very catchy. Crowds have been drawn to beach claps for goodness sakes! I don't know, I suppose it is all opinion, however I can see Golly Sandra going very far. However, on my own terms it is ridiculous to pick a favorite, I love them all so much, you know kinda like that horrible scenario about picking which of your kids you favor more... I shouldn't and in my case couldn't ever be answered, with the solo exception of I love them all equally. Love

Ps... only 19, don't have kids, and don't plan to for a while yet, it was purely hypothetical.
