Recently, I saw Eisley open for Reggie and The Full Effect and New Found Glory in Hartford, CT. I had never heard of Eisley but my friend and girlfriend took me to the show. I don't really like NFG or Reggie but I decided to go with them anyway. When Eisley came on and started playing, I was in awe. It was the first time I never blinked at a show. My jaw was dropped and I was mesmerized. The music was so soothing, so beautiful, so amazing. I didn't know the music. I didn't know the lyrics. I didn't care. I loved every minute of it. The crowd was very hostile (and obviously not open to any type of music that isn't pop-punk or more repetitive than a broken record) and showered them with cat calls and the such. I could see the Eisley faithful (with signs and all). I felt bad for the band, since the majority of the crowd was (for lack of better words) a bunch of assholes. Then Reggie and NFG played, and I realized that I had good reason to not like them. As I walked out with my friends (with Eisley shirt, sticker, and CD in hand) proclaiming (very loudly) that Eisley was by far the best band of the night, a man who introduced himself as Boyd heard us and thanked us. He was a very nice man and we had a short conversation but it was nice to know that at least one person associated with Eisley knew that they had made a new fan that night. So thank you to Eisley for one of the best shows I have seen in a while. If you are ever in Hartford (or any of the surrounding areas) I would definitely love to see you again.

Welcome to the boards. You'll find that Boyd is greatness (as well as the band), and he talks to all who come near him - which is a good thing.
Glad you enjoyed their show.

P.

he's also 4/5ths of the band's dad.
tour manager, roady, driver, communication king, and lots of other things he does for the band, that I could go on and on, but just so you know...you probably made his night that night, by proclaiming your new found love for Eisley.
