Okay CHECK OUT POLYVINYLRecords.com Plenty of Extremely good music in the eisley style vien... bands i highly recomend. Headlights IDA Mates of State Of Montreal Am/Fm Rainer Maria Owen American Football while your at it... bands and musicians that are just awesome- Mirah Blackheart Procession Dresden Dolls An Angry Mob With Torches- best band ever Brandtson Anathallo sharks keep moving unwed sailor tristeza pinback enon blonde redhead Braid Joan of Arc good lord i can go on all day.. sorry _________________ ...better im a quitter than a starry tortured soul... |

Eisley fans who are in to the touring with NFG sorta thing might enjoy Inspection 12. I guess essentially they're a pop punk band but they're so musically competent and have such amazing vocal arrangements they also appeal to a wider audience of music lovers. Other bands i love include Weezer, Rx Bandits, Saves the Day, Get Up Kids, the Rock n Roll Animal Circus Bandana and Flug. |

some bands not mentioned yet Denali (not together anymore but still amazing) Bella Lea (lead singer from Denali's new band) Rilo Kiley Tilly And The Wall (lead singer of Rilo) all the bands just named kind of have that Eisley-like sound and of course Pilotdrift and Midlake... also maybe check out some Appleseed Cast and some Desert City Soundtrack _________________

another one i forgot to mention that reminds me of eisley is azure ray. their music is far more soothing than eisley's but they're pretty similar. Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink met at 15 at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and have been making music together ever since. Before Azure Ray, the two were in a band called Little Red Rocket. After playing an accoustic set in Athens, Orenda and Maria were approached by Brian Causey of Warm Records. Soon after, Little Red Rocket disbanded, and Azure Ray became their main project. Azure Ray has released four albums--two on Warm Records (Azure Ray and Burn and Shiver) and two on Saddle Creek Records (the November EP and Hold on Love). Although they started out in Athens, Georgia, Maria and Orenda are now based out of Omaha, Nebraska, where they moved to take part in the growing music scene. In addition to playing in Azure Ray, Orenda and Maria are involved with side projects such as Now It's Overhead, and Orenda works with Japancakes. They have also collaborated with artists such as Moby (they co-wrote and performed "Great Escape" on 1  and Bright Eyes.
