I put it on in the morning and by lunch the pimple is almost gone. Though i wouldnt recommend putting it on every night, even if you dont have any pimples and are only doing it as a preventative measure, because itll make your skin dry and irritated (at least for me it does.) But yea it gets rid of acne fast. _________________

Proactiv has been in a staple in my house for as long as I can remember. i don't use it every often though, I guess I'm just blessed with generally clear skin. umm...yeah! i had another thought about zits but I decided it should only be discussed among parents and close friends. _________________

yeahhh everyone has acne once in a while. my zits sometimes "come back" as do anybodys but thats why they say u have to use that stuff all the time, not just "when u break out" i got a prescription from the doctor... it works awesome. anything with benozoal peroxide or whatever should work. or tea tree oil from wal-mart. yep. yep. |

They are actually all normal and get acne. Except for Jonathan. He has amazing skin. I knew you had said that! I just couldn't find where it was to prove it ... 'tis true... and many thought it was creepy, haha. http://eisley.com/laughingcity/viewtopic.php?t=10901 |

I find it amazing how this topic was taken so seriously. On most message boards, this topic would have went haywire. I am honestly impressed. Kim even responded to it, how cool is that? Both of those factors show that this board is excellent, mature, and full of awesome people. Keep it up everybody. _________________ www.myspace.com/foursideband |

AdrianA wrote: Hi! I see quite alot of people use benoyl peroxide. I'm curious as to what is the right way to apply it. Should i just bob on the acne, or apply a thin layer over the skin? Thanks in advance. The chemical is benzoyl peroxide, not benoyl. And you can find it in ProActiv products. I recommend that. _________________ signed: Omygosh, Emperor of Shmo **the turtle stamp of approval** www.soulstrum.com |

i dont reply much, but this thread is freakin hilarious, cuz i hate acne as much as the next. my skin tends to act up when touring and traveling to far away shows and stuff, so washing religiously is among one of the many rituals i do at night during a pee break at a gross gas station or a rest stop. gosh, i used to never post... just read. |

Doesn't Jessica Simpson also promote this proactiv stuff? That will cost you some serious bank just to get rid of zits, doesn't anyone use regular soap and water anymore? Be careful with that benzoyl stuff, it tends to dry/peel your skin if there's no fountain of oil and bacteria under it.... |

Be careful with that benzoyl stuff, it tends to dry/peel your skin if there's no fountain of oil and bacteria under it.... Tyra Banks, Britney Spears, and a whole boatload of celebrities promote this stuff... It's like soap + Clearasil on steroids (sorta)... The wash semi-exfoliates the deadskin off (the creators blame that dead skin is one of the contributors to acne, and the wash has these bead things in them). Then there's this toner thing which cleans off excess oil and dirt, and finally, you top it off with a face lotion thingie (which has the benzoil peroxide, which um, kills the bacteria, along with moisturizing the skin and whatnot, the lotion moisturizes, not the benzoyl peroxide)... It's just a complete solution sorta thing. Soap and water might cut it for some, but it's different person to person... Soap and water might work for you, but for somebody else, not even Proactiv will work (this is where you get to stronger medicine, prescription pills)... Heck, some people don't wash their face religiously, eat greasy foods, don't exercise much, and still have no acne... If there was a cheap, safe, and effective cure for acne, then the majority of people in first-world countries will never have to use stuff like Proactiv... but there isn't. |

i just use soap and water. but that's cos i don't want to spend more $ to buy specific facial cleansers. yet i do use specific facial moisturizer when needed. _________________ my sites: my download.com music page more music xanga myspace |
