I was thinking any genre, but if you insist on one, I particularly like the goth rock scene in Japan.
NO ONE can hold a candle to the Japanese goth scene

Hahaha... Visual Kei. One of the most disturbing musical genres ever. Although, I have to say that Gackt (girly man picture) has to be one of the most talented musicians/singers alive today.

my friend painted a picture of that guy!!! i have a lot of friends who are/used to be majorly into that stuff. 2 who would always show me pictures of malice mizer

and my friend went to acen and saw the pillows over the weekend

as for me, Japanese music is not really for me. i like understandin the lyrics.
Eastern Youth is cool though
and i used to love the escaflowne theme song Embarassed
