a great website Phantom Tollbooth has an interview up with sherri. they are also a quite extensive music resource for Christian and Christian-related music, as well as live show reviews, voting, etc. i suggest everyone votes for ME's ep2. http://tollbooth.org/2003/features/mosseisley.html oh, and there is no mention of the name change here... how old is this interview anyhow? it's dated 2003. -justin _________________ rest in my arms sleep in my bed theres a design to what i did and said piccysssssss |

another note, same chord: they gave EP2 5 clocks (their highest rating) stating: "With five members in the band (four of whom are siblings) and a combined age of 89, it would be easy to dismiss texas-based MossEisley as “just” a bunch of teens trying hard to copy their inspirations. But this rising band has got two things propelling them above teen garage band status: 1) The genius of their inspirations--Radiohead and Pink Floyd among the top of the list and 2) Their God-given, head-spinning talent. The band’s only recording, EP2, is a self-produced showcase of “Way old music, written when Stacy (one of the songwriters) was nine years old.”It’s amazing. The seven songs that make up EP2 have a sophistication that reaches far beyond the eldest member’s 21 years. Even the titles hint at the depth these songs reveal: “Head Against the Sky,” “Telescope Eyes,” and “Blackened Crown,” among them. Musically, they capture the dual-female-driven power of Veruca Salt, the atmospheric velocity of Radiohead and, at times, the subdued sweetness of Sixpence None the Richer. To put it plainly and simply, MossEisley are incredible in spite of their youth....or maybe because of it. The Dupree family seems on the verge of something big. Keep an eye out for them in the future! " right on! _________________ rest in my arms sleep in my bed theres a design to what i did and said piccysssssss |

I played ep2 for a friend and he said they reminded him of Throwing Muses(2 sisters) of late 80's-early '90's, Who went on to be Belly(1 sister). I tried to find TM cd bur Warehouse didn't have any.I wonder if they have heard them? They are a creative melting pot with spiritual influences that the legendary bands probably didn't have. |

I've been playing them, radiant, and rhythm to lots of people. Most from California and Texas, but all over the United States. And people seem to really like all of them. Even fans of bands like Blindside. _________________ http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=lovemorethanever http://www.myspace.com/singinbuddy "Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was burried along with her name, Nobody came." |
