Posted: Wed Jul 06, 2005 9:07 am Hmmm. Eisley is the greatest live band I've ever heard... flawless. Pilotdrift and Lovedrug were also amazing. I got an Eisley and a pilotdrift shirt, an Eisley poster and some buttons, and a pilotdrift sticker. I tried to get the lovedrug CD, but they said I'd have to wait for a Lovedrug member to sell it to me or something so I waited until Eisley came on and noone came. I wasn't missing Eisley to buy a CD...that's for sure. The meridian was about 10,000 degrees. When Eisley first came out, Sherri said, "Hello, welcome to hell!" It fit the environment. They played an amazing show and I even forgot about the heat as I watched them. I could see everyone but Weston where I was standing. Poor Chauntelle had a light directly in her face, which looked painful. I got everyone's autograph but Chauntelle. Didn't see her walking around. The first one I got was Jon's. It was really cool. I was standing in the crowd and I look up and BAM! it's a Jon. I was like....hey if you aren't all busy and stuff can I get your autograph? and he was like sure. I went and got my poster and then he signed it and me and my friend talked to him. Me: So good luck with the show tonight. Jon: Thanks. Me: I'm a pirate. Jon: Cool. I'm a pirate too. Me: Really? So you know the code and stuff? Jon: Well yea. Me: Then you need my autograph (I took a piece of paper and wrote 'baret b. the great' and handed it to him) Jon: Thanks. I don't get mant of these. I'll hold on to it. Me: I'll keep yours too. Thanks and good luck. Jon: yea Then some girls walked up and started talking to him so I let him get on with his pimping. Then I saw Weston and Stacy and they were jsut standing behind the merch booth so I asked if I could have their autographs. They both signed them for me and I just said thanks and went about. They looked really wierded out...or maybe it was just the intense heat. Either way, I ran into Sherri and asked for her autograph. She signed for me and said, "Sorry about the heat and stuff." I was like , "It's not really your fault but good luck with the show, you guys are my favorite band." She smiled and said thanks and walked towards the merch booth. Then me and my friend went to buy the pilotdrift CD and we talked to Sherri again (who was behind the booth) and I said I was a pirate again and she was like, "That's awesome" and stuff.... So yea, that was the best concert I've ever been to, despite the heat. Also, the reason I kept saying I was a pirate was because of an inside joke between me and my friend who I went with. We were going to tell any band member we talked to that we were pirates. I think we probably made them think we were just annoying, but we did it anyway. Now that I think about it, I kind of wished I didn't say I was a pirate...because I'm sure that they all had a dream of beating me last night...for being so annoying. |

Wow that's cool! I also saw most of the band members in random places before the show, but I was too shy to go say something, so I just stood and stared. _________________ xanga | livejournal | photobucket | what I'm listening to |

The thing I noticed most was that Sherri and Stacy's voices were perfect at every moment of every song. They didn't slip or run out of breath or anything...even with the extreme heat. I knew that they were excellent singers from the Cds and stuff...but that show was just too much. Sherri would like walk around and grab some water and throw it to people and not miss here queue. It makes me think that they spend every hour of every day practising their songs. It was just cool. Most other bands mess up at least once during the set. Not Eisley. |
