If this was mentioned elsewhere in the forums I couldn't find it, so here it goes... Anyone know of any plans to release an acoustic version of "Telescope Eyes"? I heard (and saw) it on UGO.com and like that version much better! It has a more haunting and pure sound... Not sure if this will work or not, but here's the link I use: http://video.ugo.com/ugoplayers/?articleID=14723 |

That's a cool idea. Not sure if there are any plans at this point, but it'd probably make a cool B-side or bonus track for a later release. Frankly, I like the old, old version of "Telescope Eyes" the best (visit http://www.orangegoldandgreen.com/audio.html to hear it), but I have enjoyed all the acoustic versions they've played. I dunno. Eisley's sound is so often defined by the fact that they play electric guitars and keys that I find it difficult to picture a studio-recorded acoustic version of any of their songs (besides, obviously, "Just Like We Do"). Plus, they might never want to touch that song again... After three revisions, multiple producers, and a label battle for a hit single, I know I wouldn't. It's a cool idea, though. Maybe sometime they'll release one of their live acoustic performances of it, as a B-side or something. Also, welcome to the forum! _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |
