hello all. i bought tree tops from itunes about two weeks ago and i got it in an m4p format. i don't have a mac and i use winamp for my songs and the song is not PLAYING!! =( i've done everything in my power to try and convert in into an mp3 and had no luck. i can't play it on itunes because that freezes my computer up (i actually had my friend order the song and then send it to me). so i was wondering if anyone knows how to convert this or if anyone would be willing to do it for me orrrrr if anyone would be willing to send me the song in an mp3 format? gahh..im computer dumb.

please help!

iTunes downloads are in m4a format, which only plays on iTunes, and are encrypted so only the computer it was bought on or a computer that's been authorized to play songs from that account. the only way to get rid of the encryption and to convert it to an mp3 that's playable on any other program is to burn the song to a cd and then import it back to your computer

you can convert it on itunes right click on the song and click convert to mp3. if it does not give you that option go to your itunes properties.

This program lets you convert your iTunes store music to mp3. I had to use this to get Vintage People onto my non-iPod mp3 player.

Stripping the DRM from any downloaded music from the iTunes Music Store is against the terms of use. But yea, the link provided above does do that well.
