I'm gonna go with sax here, slightly biased (alto and then tenor sax for 5 or 6 years now), I've heard flute is hard to play... plus, saxaphones get neck straps! that's always fun! ...yeah...

i would say. do NOT play the flute... in marching band... it get's really tiring having to hold up your arms, so that the flute is like parallel to the ground....and i heard clarinet and the sax are pretty similar instruments to play, but then i heard the fingering for sax and flute were similar too...so i dunno...but pick the sax or clarinet... yeah, that's all i got... don't play the flute! trust me! haha
