The MossEisley bus is going on the market. ••
First, a short photo-essay. Shots from the past. Shots from Today. 11/4/05 - over 3 years later.

MossEisley website featured this interesting shot Sherri took of her feet while headed to some
gig - for a long time; I dunno why but i liked it for the site and thought you should see it.

I remember all too well - announcing the unfortunate death of the MossBus's engine. We had
to get the heads rebuilt.

Dual gas tanks - Weston is fillin' 'er up. Note Logo on side window.

Here she sits on the lot... lonely; with no identity.

Stacy - coming out - handing a purse to somebody.

Sherri - shoots saucy shot on the steps to doorway while traveling down the road.

Stacy - pensive, ponders the meaning of transportation...and wonders what the future has
in store. She has no clue.

Family affair - but I remember we were on the road. Somewhere I have tons and tons of shots
in this bus. b o r i n g.... I know. So I spared you.

I shot this today. i still love that old logo

Back of the bus. Logo.

Back right quarter bus.

Side Bus Right

Side Bus Left

Top rack of Bus. I slept here all week at Cornerstone Festival.

You hook your trailer up here. Ignore the generator. That sucker needs to die. I hate it.

Luxurious shot of wheel. new.

The cockpit rules.

Today, we hung in the bus a bit.

The carpet is...fun.

Counting stars...remembering.

View from outside looking into cockpit.

Front Right Quarter.

view of bunk. note midlake sticker.

Original junk on the floor before I cleaned it..

Oh, the junk in the bus. But it was nice to see it one last time.

More junk in bus from last tour.

This was my favorite thing to see.

Chauntelle and Collin hanging.

Shot of the seats on the right.

Seats and shot of bunk again. After I cleaned it.

Note how seats decline for hybernation.

Right side of bus.

Another panarama shot - at the top.

Who wouldn't want to see what's under the.. bus.

---------------------------------------------------------------------- -

Panaramic Ora.

The arm rests go down.

Behind the back seats. A place to sleep.

Control Panel.

Back of the Corner of the Bus.

You pull it and push it to open the door.

A gauge I never look at but it looks cool.

You can adjust the blue seats on the left even more.

Art.

Very Art.

I see our trailer!

There's an outlet... err, a plug thing.

You can adjust this thing too. Those blue seats.

Like... spec's or whatever.

Lookin' back.

Plastic tray - folds up/down.

--------------------------------------------------------

So, there you have it. A photo-essay of the bus. I hope to get a few more
in the morning. These are for us I guess. Documentation. history. I don't
have time for it, but who ever has time for history when you're worried
about the future. Here's the original copy about the bus. I'm putting it on
Ebay tomorrow if all goes well. I have no inspection or tags yet. I don't
care. It's easy to get. I'll knock off $100 bucks. Thanks!

Sorry. Didn't mean to trick you guys...

With the help of our awesome next door neighbor Matt and a
few of his friends and Weston, they got the little ole bus going. Only an hr
ago, I actually drove it out of the driveway... and took her for a sweet
spin around the block. KIM & COLLIN blasted the sucker with our
amazing, hi-powered sprayer... you know, to wash it.

I'm trying to decide how best to sell it (on line). Autolocal.com is pretty
ok... but it'll make me sad to see it driven around town. I thought about
ebay since they have an extensive auto section.

Unfortunately, this is survival mode so I have to get a better than decent
price. Does anyone have any clues as to the best route to go? It's an old
clunker, but it drives nice, has character... a fixer upper. I'll post pics
later. Just thought I would pick ya'lls brain first.

As soon as it's all blasted down and whiter, I'll take pics and get them up.
If I were you... or even me, and I had the money, I'd want this bus.
MossEisley's first road trip was in this bus... I think Stacy was 13...
Cornerstone Fest. We used to drive it back and forth from Tyler to
Dallas... all the time.

I want it just as my own car but I'ze po' so I have to sell it. Original price
was 6k. We put cool seats in it, a bunk at the top, glow in the dark stars
on the ceiling... i mean, that's the works, right? Complete with original
logos on windows and name on front. If someone has a rich grandfather
who wants to invest in rock memorabilia or who thinks his grandkid's
band needs a mode of transport, here's his chance.

It has an old generator on back to run the AC, but I don't think I want to
deal with that... I'll try to crank it, but i think it's too loud anyway. Needs
a new used one mounted back there. You can climb on top via a ladder
and a big luggage rack and sleep up there under the stars... which is
what I've done many times. You can sleep in the seats while cruizing cuz
they lean back. It's noisy and old and...it's a bus. It turns on a dime. A
shortie; holds like 12 or more. You can pull a trailer with it.

Thanks. boyd

The I'm Torn. More info complete w/ Disclaimers. Don't anybody buy this bus!! Man, I'm a good salesman....

The bus is a fixer up'er. Come on...a 70's BUS? yes, of course. It's not
like it's crunked. But, it's no lux-0-barge. It's more a cute Clunk-0-barge
with a lot of personality and even more memories. The coolest thing is...
it turns on a dime. Short wheel base... I can turn it around in a WAY
tighter circle than say - our van or our Suburban. It's no wider than our
driveway so... parking is super easy. I can park that bus and back it out
easier than our Suburban. Great visibility, rear views. Shifts great... nice
breaks, clutch, heads are new...the engine was rebuilt right before we got
it.

Problems? Forget that loud generator on the back. I'd toss that thing... it
never worked right. It runs the AC, which... you know, hey, it's probably
10 years old; an add on. But, if the windows are up and the generator is
working - it cools the passengers off ok. There's one of those big AC
things on the top.

Fixing it up is painful. When you wash it and scrub it and dust it and turn
those fuel adjustors on that trick dual carberator with the deal we bought
that makes it get better gas mileage, and you climb up in the bunk that
we welded to the top, when you sit in one of the seats and recline... when
you lay down in back of the seats to sleep... when you remember the
band had this when they were really indie... you hate to let it go.

So what else is wrong with it? I always felt a shimmy when it got up to
freeway speeds... so I always kept it about 55. I took it in to get it
checked out and the big vehicle whatever specialist said... "take the drive
train off... (you just unhook the u-bolt at the back and the front)... bring
it in; we'll turn it... it'll cost you a hundred bucks or so and you put it back
on... no more wobble..."

I don't want to deal with fixing that because... I just don't. OH, i fixed the
gas tank.... I remember that. One had too much rust so it would clog up
the tank. I had to pay to get it blasted and reamed and made perfect.
Now both tanks work. You fill em both up... one goes out, you switch
tanks while you're driving. rad, ehh?

I'm just giving you info in case you know someone ELSE who might need
this bus. Take little old ladies to church with it. I dunno. Drive it around
town. Somebody you know might need it.

I'll get pictures up tomorrow.

boyd

same here, just I'm in Atlanta. I reallllllllly hope a boardie buys it. Second best would be a fan.

I got a better idea. The bus does NOT get sold to a random person and we (meaning the boardies who are able to) hold a HUGE car wash, all over the nation, to make cash, which we send to a someone who will take loving care of it. and share it. the bus that is.

Hmm, yeah. A bunch of fans should put together some cash and buy it. Then, they could use it to pick up a bunch of other fans and drive to see shows.

Great idea! Why don't we all buy it? I'll start the fund at $100.00. Boyd can make us 'Texas Titles'-
I will own 1/60th?
Best merch ever!
Christie and Chad can make some Bus Patches and sell them on tour. But only Laughing City People will understand why they sell for $20.00.\
That would be so much fun.

ebay would be cool. Carly Patterson sold her Accord on there. Big money for that sweet ride.

The bus will sell for much more though. Make sure it gets a good home...
