At the Troubadour on the last Yahoo! show Chauntelle mentioned a book that Stacy read that gave her an idea to write the song.....anybody happen to catch the name?

it's pronounced "chasdew"


i remember her talking about it once at a show in dallas, it was a sci-fi book... i can't remember the name. i think it had "winter" or "snow" in the title (it wasn't snow crash)

there are two books called the ice people

one by rene barjavel
and one by maggie gee

both are sci fi

anyone know which one it is?
i am always looking for new books to read and i would probably read it if i could figure out which one it is

u could just use ur eisley sense and think which one stacy would have probably read... because that always works

sorry to bring up old threads,but i JUST finished Ice people (by Rene, Not Maggie, sorry) and it was AMAZING!!! it fits so well witht the song, and...i get it it now. i am glad, because this song always seemed incredibly magical and romantic, and now that i understand it and can relate, its som much more. SO...i recommend reading The Ice People by Rene Barjavel, it's a french book, but it was translated, and it may be kinda hard to find. check your library.

I bought it from Amazon from your advice, thanks for that! I just finished reading it and it was truly amazing to read, and you're absolutely right, the song fits amazingly!
