while i can agree with the previous two posts, i also have to note that i'm quite partial to the lyrics for "marvelous things" and "plenty of paper". good stuff, ya know. _________________

Yes, the lyrics are consistently great. I do think there are some great "moments", though. On Room Noises, I particularly like the chorus on "One Day I Slowly Floated Away", and really, most of the choruses in general. There are also some rockin' parts, like at 2:20 of My Lovely and (of course) the intro to HATS. |

Now here is the real question... How many of you know ALL the lyrics? (to the songs they regularly play) _________________ Power is only pain It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in. "Can we get control of an individual to the point where he will do our bidding against his will and even against fundamental laws of nature, such as self preservation?" -memo from 1952 Project ARTICHOKE

"soft hushed breath it goes in and out... in and out frost tracing the window pane up down, yeah up and down" and "and in the corner chair soft and soap-scented my darling cries apologies we foresee the mercy that's been shown my young limbs will not go unthanked or unseen" and plenty of paper, that entire song is lyrical genuis. love it. _________________ Tweet me @teagone |
