Sorry if there's been a post of this before, but what Eisley song(s) do you think have the best lyrics?

while i can agree with the previous two posts, i also have to note that i'm quite partial to the lyrics for "marvelous things" and "plenty of paper". good stuff, ya know.

Yes, the lyrics are consistently great. I do think there are some great "moments", though. On Room Noises, I particularly like the chorus on "One Day I Slowly Floated Away", and really, most of the choruses in general. There are also some rockin' parts, like at 2:20 of My Lovely and (of course) the intro to HATS.

Now here is the real question... How many of you know ALL the lyrics? (to the songs they regularly play)

Oh I forgot to post mine. I really like 'Plenty of Paper' and 'Sun Feet,' but they're all so good...

Soft sweet music makes me sleep calling my mind away
resting faces calm and quiet

"soft hushed breath
it goes in and out... in and out
frost tracing the window pane
up down, yeah
up and down"

and

"and in the corner chair
soft and soap-scented
my darling cries apologies
we foresee the mercy that's been shown
my young limbs will not go unthanked or unseen"

and

plenty of paper, that entire song is lyrical genuis. love it.

Distant tho I am
Orange, gold, and green
Firing, flaming, colors surround me
I'm always wondering where you are.
I'm always wondering where you are.
Darling shouldn't I be the one
Wondering after all I am the one who is gone. wow
